Q: Would these work in a bottle with a 4" mouth?

There are 2 different size discs. One is made for wide mouth canning jars and the other is made for regular size canning jars. Your 4" mouth bottle most likely will not work with either of these. They rely on the sides of the jar folding in the wings and holding the screen portion in place to trap any floaties. Perhaps someone else will have tried and be able to give you a better answer.

They are absolutely reusable. They are made of a very high quality HDPE and can be washed and used again and again.

Q: Where can I buy the hand inserter for the canning buddies

I just use an 8-ounce regular mouth jar to push them in. Don't know where to get the actual inserter.

Q: So how do you get them out?

Just bend the sides up and pull!!
