I bought the cat one for myself months ago and love, love, LOVE it. I wear it nearly every single day. I ordered the Celtic knot for someone who mentioned they would love a hair fork after seeing mine. It's beautiful but I had no idea how much bigger it would be than the cat one. Even the prongs are bigger (width and length). Probably perfect for long thick hair. Anyway, I just thought it was worth sharing so others are aware that they're not the same size. The cat one is a nice subtle touch whereas the knot is definitely more of a statement piece. Still, recommend either and or both!

I have medium length thick hair that I wear naturally curly and flat iron straight. This is a sturdy wood pick that holds my hair firmly in place. My hairdresser advised against using hair bands because over time it causes strain on the hair and results in unnecessary hair loss. This pick is great and way more ornate, durable, sturdier, thicker and less expensive than one I bought at a medieval fair for which I paid $22.

I have almost mid-back, wavy, thick hair. I usually use claw clips or elastics, and keep my hair up most of the time, which often results in headaches from all the weight of my hair being tugged. I was also looking for something to change up my hairstyle just a little. I got two of these hair forks. I have previously used one of the little metal hair forks and usually have to reposition them after a few hours to tighten things up. I have worn the Celtic knot fork all day and it didn't loosen at all, even after cooking Christmas dinner, chasing after the crawling baby, and clean up. EVERYTHING I use in my hair eventually loosens. But not these! They glide though my hair with ease, securing it neither over tightly, nor too loosely. I tried the flower fork the other day and had the same results. The wood is light weight, yet they feel very sturdy for this purpose. There were no splinters or places to catch and pull my hair on the forks. They are beautiful and well made. I am so glad I gave them a try, and am looking forward to headache free updos going forward!

My hair is 41 inches long and this hair fork holds it well while in a nautilus bun. It even holds while I run around with my kids. It's nice not having to constantly redo a bun as I have to when using a hair tie. If you're contemplating buying it, go for it!

This is a very pretty hair fork and is made well. The finish is smooth and doesn’t snag my hair but the forks are a little thick and heavy for my hair type. My hair is very fine, thin, straight and almost waist length. If you are a follower of the LHC guidelines I am classified as 1b/f/i/ii for reference. Hopefully as my hair grows it will hold more securely.

It is really good at holding hair back— it can even do half up dos. I was worried it wouldnt be able to grab enough hair to told but its great! It holds my full buns for hours it can even hold a ponytail surprisingly. I saw sone reviews about the prongs being too thick and ripping peoples hair, which they are a little thick, but honestly it just takes a little practice to get used to slipping it in there. A metal one might be better if you want extra ease of use, but this one is just so dang cute. I have the cat one and its just adorable. Comes in a nice sturdy box too that i can keep nicknacks in. I would really recommend this to anyone looking for a unique and functional hair pin!!!

Love this! I just purchased the cat version and adore it. It is well made, using high quality wood; looks like something I may have bought at a craft show from an artisan. My teenage daughter loved it too. Needless to say, it is hers now and I will be ordering another one.

It is adorable. Though the fish isn’t perfect, the imperfections doesn’t bother me. Only thing is the trident part is a bit short for my hair (waist length). So I can’t use it. I should have read the description better. Also since the trident is half prong half decoration, expect the fish and bones part to sit well above your hair.

Came very well packaged the box it came in was lovely. Orange and well made, perfect if I was planning to give this as a gift. I bought the bone dragonfly first and have worn that every day since it arrived. Today I've been out sporting this great stick. So thrilled to find this supplier I shall be returning again soon.

Sitzt perfekt, rutscht nicht, hält spitzenmäßig und ist trotzdem abgerundet um das Haar nicht so zu belasten . Sieht sehr schön aus, tolle Größe und genau wie abgebildet.

Schönes Holz, leider ist der Schwanz direkt abgebrochen, benutze sie trotzdem weiter, angenehm zu tragen und einfaches Handling, gerne wieder
