A must-have for EAP professionals out there.

I think this book may be good for experienced teachers or DELTA participants to find out which book to read, rather than actually being a good book itself. I found the book a little frustrating since it comprises mainly extracts of books and pointers to texts. The author has obviously read the texts mentioned, and touches upon a myriad issues, but they needed a lot more explanation to be any good to me. Skimpy coverage and not practical. Get it out of the library, don't buy it.

Weeks after purchasing this book based on recommendations from my lecturer I did not realize I had a very valuable tool until I started working on an assignment. I recommend this book without reservation for TESOL practitioners worldwide.

Its advertised as a guide and resource book for teachers, but I found it very heavy, technical and too heavily focused on quoting surveys etc. Very little practical advice given. Definitely more of a reference book, of something that you may use for a DELTA assignment rather than for regular use.
