the box wasnt too bad but looked bad , however due to good packaging unit was mint when unpacked no dents or cracks etc. it came with all accessories needed for installation which is great, I didn't test it yet but I expect to be similar performance and operation as my other standalone avalon water dispenser. it is little noisy when compressor running for cold but acceptable.hot water is hot and cool is less colder than cold by few degrees , so unsure what's the point. I would have preferred just room temperature water from inline water.finally , I had an issue of small leaks on my standalone, and I expect similar with this one too since same steel container cooler etc. the leak is actually no water leaking from anywhere , is just condensation of water vapor from air when getting in contact with cold container , it is insulated with molded foam but still gap for water vapor from air to condense and drip and drip, I fixed it by drilling a hole so it drains..finally , I just bypassed their filters altogether and install with 1/4" tubing a large and inexpensive generic cartridge that does the same but cost much less and lasts longer, just make sure the water sensor valve is connected inline with this filter. so I am not using their filters head at all.flr this setup this dispenser is a great deal

I went through 3 of these units before I gave up.Unit 1: Severe dents, door for the filter was broken.Unit 2: Minor dents. Hooked it up to my water line. As the unit finished filling up, one of the tanks started leaking!Unit 3: Minor dents, unit worked. Condenser is louder than I like.

Do the math and you’ll find that you will save a ton with this purchase. 2 things to be aware of.. 1. This will not be as clean water as a RO system water like the ones you buy from the water store. And 2. You must buy original Avalon filters. The others do not work. The system just will not operate with other filters. There might be a way around this but from my experience they do not work.

I had a refurbished one that lasted almost 7 years and heater for hot water burned out the cold kept working. I got this one because it didn’t come with the filters. I have reverse osmosis system and filters were useless. My old system I only changed the filters twice and only because the filter clogged and I had replace it. The filters are expensive for what you get. I bypassed the filters this time because I have the 5 filter osmosis filter in the basement handing that and I just want access to cold and hot clean water. This model has a single spout for all 3 water buttons the old model had one for each water option (hot cold and room). I can’t say much else about it that the used one I had lasted for 7 years and was used and I got this new one and hope it lasts longer than the last.

don't buy it. the customer support is horrible. email after email with no answers. they refuse to call you so you can ask questions so you have to spend all day emailing. new out of the box unit that i can not get to work.
