Very pleased with this tripod gun clamp. It is well made and strong. It will hold a rifle tight without marring a wood stock. I do recommend positioning so that the rifle is as balanced as you can to prevent having to over tighten and potentially damage the rifle or the clamp.I would recommend this product.

Having a steady base can really improve your long distance abilities.The saddle itself is very well constructed from an aluminum base and the soft rubber inside can hold everything very steady without the application of excessive pressure on the clamp. I appreciate that the Manbily U-7 Shooting Saddle doesn't require anything additional to mount, mounting easily to a standard camera tripod. Since my rimfire rifle comes in just under 7lbs, I can simply find a center of balance and tighten the clamp and I can ring steel out to 400yds with relative ease.If precision shooting is your thing, the Manbily U-7 Shooting Saddle is what you seek if you want to take your shots out to great distance. This is absolutely a 5 star purchase.

The Manbily U7 shooting saddle has been made with precision, care and what appear to be very high quality materials. The attachment point threads are clean a burr free and secured to my tripod with ease and felt very secure, the vice action and clamping jaws are smooth in operation and rubber padded. The 3/8" threads are in the center of the mount and would make for the most secure mounting but only high-end tripods are equipped with that thread size typically. But for small caliber and lighter weight firearms the 1/4" screw should be sufficient. After a few rounds at the range, I will update if a problem is noted.

Nice rest/clamp. Works with all my tripods since it's Arca-Swiss compatible. Also works with the standard screw on mounts. Holds my rifle nicely, however I don't have a heavy competition rifle I'm trying to stabilize. My rifle fully outfitted is about 12.5# and it holds it nice and sturdy provided you use a good balance point. I have a 15# rifle I intend to try with this but at the present time I just haven't had time to get to the range. I'll update if I have any problems with the heavier rifle, but for the price point this seems to work wonderfully with common rifles.

This is a great clamp for holding a variety of rifles securely, with usable options for mounting. I tested this saddle on my large camera tripod, which utilizes a Swiss mount clamp, and it held a fairly heavy rifle in place solidly. There is also the option to use 1/4" and 3/8" screws to accommodate multiple setups. I am impressed with the width range, as it will be useful for any rifle I currently have, or would plan to use. Matched with a heavy duty tripod, this would be an ideal hunting setup.
