AU-RD150 50-150W/VA Round Dimmable Electronic Transformer

Good replacement for chandelier with limited space for driver, good value for money and works well

Bought to replace the transformer in a set of 7 year old (2006) Ikea cable lights, I believe they are called Norrsken. The large brick-like transformer (see photo) started causing nuisance tripping in our Consumer Unit and circuit breakers and often omitted a worrying frying noise !If you take the old grey rectangular brick shaped transformer apart, you'll see that it contains a large heavy doughnut shaped coil. Its easy to take apart, as there's only one nut holding it in. This super light transformer weighs a fraction of the original and fits perfectly in to the void that is left by the old transformer. It could have been made for it.As each bulb on the Ikea cable track takes 20 Watts, you simply multiply 20 by the actual physical number of bulbs that you have in order to calculate the load on the transformer. So for my four lights it was a load of 80W (4 x 20) which as you'll see from the rating of this transformer is easily handled.Anyway, my lights now work perfectly again, which has saved me from replacing the whole cable track which would have been extremely time consuming. If you're in any doubts about wiring with mains voltage I would thoroughly recommend that you point your electrician in the direction of this transformer.Its great and no more nuisance tripping and frying noises :)

Great for repairing a light and has worked a treat for a good length of time now.

Bought this to replace a "Huibolong HTV105C1" transformer that was in a celling light Purchased from next (as pictured) . The transformer fitted straight in and was easy to install.

I purchased two of these transformers to replace old ones in my pendant lights. The previous transformers were not dimmable, but these are, which has really improved the usefulness of the lights. I was pleased to find these new transformers were a perfect fit in the lamp and it was a fairly straightforward task to wire them in; probably about 10 mins per light.

Very good Transformer much lighter then my old one so far works well just disappointed with delivery has been posted somewhere else so I had to wait two weeks to be delivered and had to use my bedside lump

Bought this to repair a customers ceiling light that had a failed transformer. This was a direct replacement so fit perfectly. Although rated for halogen use I’ve found it also compatible with some LED lamps as well. Great to be able to repair and save another lamp from landfill

The transformer arrived a lot sooner than the estimated date so must have been posted immediately on receipt of order. This transformer was marginally smaller than the original fitting so there was no problems fitting it into the holding space. Instructions were clear and easy to understand and it made the fitting of the transformer easy. Would certainly buy this transformer again if the one if the other set of lights fail.
