Best trip pod
I have owned this tripod since Aug of 2021 and I have put it through hell. It not only has stood up to my abuse and works like new but pretty much looks like new. It is very sturdy and what ever they paint it with has lasted beautifully. Everything about this tripod has pasted all expectations. Now the bag is a different story lol. I should say the zipper on the bag broke in the first month and has gotten worse every time I look at it. But the bag still holds the tripod fine with the velcro on the handles. That is my only complaint is the zipper. This tripod had literally been beat up. It rides in a pull behind trailer with a lot of loose equipment on it or near it for years and still comes out shinning. I will definitely buy another one from them when this finally fails because it will probably be my fault.

The Details matter
I've purchased and used the less expensive Geekoto tripods for use with stationary cameras, and love them. This is the more robust version with video head that moves smoothly, and I love this one for the same reasons. Very good price/performance ratio, quality build and attention to details at every part. For example (though it's a very small thing) the vinyl carrying case has the handle slightly to one end, so that when the tripod is in the case, the heavier "head" end balances and makes it easy to carry. Not that big of a deal, but for me is indicative of how much thought goes into these tripods. A lot of little well thought details add up to a great overall experience.I use them for professional shoots (mostly multi-cam live shows and music videos), and they have held up quite well. I try not to be rough with them, but they are not in any way fragile. I've paid 3X as much for tripods that were not as sturdy. Very happy with all of their products.

Very stable and precise. Not for travel though.
I use the tripod for my pair of heavy 20x80 binoculars, and a pair of cameras with 400+ lenses. It works brilliantly. Very stable, I mean really very stable. I am a star glazer and whoever tried to take very long shots of celestial objects know that stability is a must.It comes at a price, not in $ because you know you’re already in the top shelf, but weight. Clearly not the tripod you take on a trail. The head is very nicely designed with an extended arm that will change your life. Highly recommend. Would have suggested a couple of 1/4” screws instead of just one, as most of the public industry interfaces are set for 1/4”. Other than that, it is a fantastic product with tons of small details that make it an heavy duty reliable companion to your hobbies.

Tickled pink...(or in this case orange)
A quick background information, I bought a Celestron C90 spotting scope for plane spotting and some amateur astronomy. The scope came with an included tripod which was basically a waste of product because even breathing on it would case the scope to vibrate and oscillate so bad. I'm surprised it didn't trigger any Richter scales nearby. So, I bought an Amazon Basis tripod which helped in the stability side of things, but the head was so jerky that I would have to step back from the eyepiece, less I poke an eye out whenever I had to slew the scope, especially in the up/down directions. I debated on getting a Manfrotto 502 fluid head to replace the one that came with the Amazon one, but when I saw that the Geekoto had an extra 5 inches of height over the one I already had, I made the decision to invest in the Geekoto. Man, what a difference! The first time I mounted the scope and slewed it right and left, the movements were so smooth and precise I knew I made the right choice. And moving the scope up and down was just as smooth, so no more worry about losing an eye while acquiring a plane or planet. The legs look thin, but they are strong and sturdy. And I love the orange accents!

EXCELLENT TRIPOD with ONLY a few flaws...weight questions...and slider...
First of all, I read most of the reviews, and some are old and do not apply any longer and some are really silly and due to not understanding how to mount it, they ended up reviewing it badly. This TRIPOD deserves 4 STARS and here is why and I will also tell you the few flaws that it has which when putting into account the price, is A DEAL!PROS:Sturdy;Fluid head, no panning issues - someone said there is grinding while panning and that review pops up first, might have been a defective model or then, not now, I can pan fine and it is smooth;Easy to mount and transport with the carrying case (although mine came with a small hole in it, might have gotten damaged during shipping, no big deal!Quick-release plates with safety to avoid accidental slipping and EXTRA screws;Price, for the money, this is EXCELLENT!FLAWS:The release plate lock knob touches the camera, and at first, I thought I could not lock and tighten the plate, however, you turn it until it is almost there, put in the camera with the plate, and then you only have to twist it halfway to lock it, and I solved it. This only applies if you have a camcorder like mine, and if you have a baseplate with rods, it will place the camera at a higher position anyway and you can easily avoid this. This is a flaw but it can be overcome; The bubble level is in the center and a bit hard to see and if you start messing with the position of the head, it can be a bit hard to level it. To GEEKOTO: you could place an extra bubble level to make it easy to level it again in place so it is centered;QUESTIONS to GEEKOTO (please answer here so that others can see and be helped about this):1. Can we place a slider on this tripod? Shall we place it on the head or can the head be removed and we place the slider on the ball directly?2. The tripod holds 33lb; the K3 fluid head alone holds 11lb. What does this mean? More specifically, when placing a 10lb Slider on the head which sits on the tripod, and then placing a 10lb camera on the slider, it now equals 20lb weight in tot., can this weight be withstood by the tripod and the head together? Or is this setup too much for the head being that it only holds 11 lb? Just confused about this and maybe someone can jump in and make sense of it.Shall I place the slider directly on the ball then and bypass the head to ensure the weight is within the tripod limits?Sidenote: The slider I have holds 22 lb on its own too and I am supporting it with arms too on both sides which also hold 22lb. A bit of math here for anyone that can figure this out including Geekoto. Jump in and clarify please.Thank you.

unbelievable quality, at a great price. I needed to replace my old tripe and decided to choose this one with a more affordable price. The quality of Geekoto impressed me. Extremely stable tripod, material of impressive quality. I do not exchange this tripod for any other brand!
