Q: Why does this charger never shut down? I have this to charge my deep cycle 48v golf cart batteries and it constantly runs and never charges to 100%

Mine does. It stops charging and says ful on the display when it’s fully charged. I just have to turn it off to keep it from running for no reason. Possibly something wrong with your machine or potentially something wrong with your batteries

Q: Are these units waterproof?

NO!! That is one negative for an otherwise excellent unit.
