Im using it with my rode NT usb plus mic and it looks great with it, i wish there was more weight to the arms as the mic can sometimes cause it sag though tightening the nut works as well.Easy to set up, works as intended and is great value for money so cant complain really.

Very nice looking and built well for the price you pay. Its configurable in a few different positions which is nice. the way its designed tho being pretty lengthy side ways means it has a decent bit of wiggle if its on the same desk you are using. I just placed something underneath the bottom arm to stop it from moving and the top arm moves nicely with less wiggling then. My old mic shock mount got on nicely, Would recommend

Build quality is nice, it’s was very low so it could fit under my monitors too, and it swivels really smoothly to move out the way. Came with some nice cable fixes to minimise clutter. I had no issues with tightening like some have reviewed, it holds my mic perfectly well.

The media could not be loaded. Nice versatile mic stand for any desk setup. I love the neat cable management solution with the included stud. It is built with aluminium hence it is light but strong. Comes with adapters too if you have a different kind of mic.

On first seeing this boom arm I couldn’t see how Socodox could ask £35.99 for it. It looked hardly any different to models on Amazon that cost around half the price of this one. It isn’t until you take it out of the box that you realise you have a boom arm that stands out from the rest. There is no saying you didn’t receive the instructions-they’re printed on the outside of the box. They might be considered vague, as it’s tricky trying to work out which bit goes where from the instructions alone, I think it’s deliberate. It’s Socodox’s way of letting you know that there are multiple ways of fastening this stand together dependent on your desk set up.Another stand out from the rest feature is the cable clips. Instead of an unsightly mess of looped or twisted round the arm cables they’re neatly tucked away. Clips that conceal (or at least tidy it away) the cable between the two sections of each arm.The listing says the arm’s made from aluminium, it’s not. The long bits of the arms are iron/steel and the joints are plastic.I was testing the joints for load bearing and was surprised at how easy it was to move them. I couldn’t see the arm supporting 1.5kg of anything. Then I discovered the hex key in one of the little bags and realised the joints could be tightened till they became all but immobile. Then another little feature, these types of joints have a habit of working free over time, so Socodox have incorporated a clip with the clamp to keep the hex key for when it’s next needed.All in all this is a well made, well designed and versatile boom arm. It is without a doubt, one of the best I’ve seen for the price.
