Was able to use my existing pole and battery from my pole saw for this trimmer attachment. Nice quality trimmer with adjustable angle on the cutting end.

We purchased this hedge trimmer attachment for our pole saw so we could more easily trim our tree ourselves rather than paying someone else to do it for us. It did a beautiful job on our tree. It was quick and easy to install. It was very easy to get the hang of using. It's very easy to adjust the cutting angle. My only complaint is how heavy it is. When working overhead on a tree, it's somewhat difficult to hold for long periods of time. And, if you use the extra extension pole with your pole saw, the weigh is almost too much to safely and comfortably handle. The length of the cutting blade is just right and makes quick work of trimming our tree. It didn't bog down or get clogged up at all. The tree we were trimming has thorns on it and they didn't affect it at all. We could tell when we tried to trim a branch that was a little too thick, but with a little patience, it still trimmed through them. We are very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to a friend.

This review is for the hedge trimmer attachment ONLY; I purchased this attachment a couple years ago and here are what I believe to be the pros/cons:Pros:* Blades work amazingly well; I was able to cut thru green blackberry canes about inch thick easily; cuts thru most brush very well (obviously the only "hedges" I have are of the BB variety)* Good reach to get at vegetation that you would otherwise not be able to get at (over a fence for example)Cons:* Super awkward. When attached to the multi-tool battery pack it becomes overly long and with the "head" of the trimmer being where it is, it becomes an awkward and cumbersome tool for a woman to manage. I am 5.4" and find it tires my arms and hands quickly leaving them sore and painful later. NOTE: I have a small farm I manage and upkeep on my own, so I am not a wimp when it comes to using any kind of tool.

I need a way to cut the grass and weeds that grow in the drainage ditches and ditch banks around my house without standing in the wet ditch. I already had the pole saw, so the hedge trimmer attachment was an easy option. The design of the pole saw makes swapping the chain saw for the hedge trimmer really easy. The sickle bar hedge trimmer position is adjustable plus and minus from straight and it easily cuts the grass and weeds. I am not a big guy, and the assembly is heavy, but it allows me to perform the cutting while standing upright and not bending over to reach the ditch, kind of like a large golf club. I added a grab handle (from an abandoned string trimmer) about midway on the pole which makes holding the unit less tiring. The battery seems to last between 30-40 minutes. I have two batteries and they charge quickly. This is a good yard tool, one that I should have purchased sooner.

I am hoping that Greenworks fixes the design concerns with this product. Noticed that there is a high rate of return. We have other products from this company and are very happy with their reliability. This tool combo is the only tool that has issues.

This angled hedge trimmer for a pole extension is just what I needed to reach the tops of tall bushes and small trees. Best of all it is light and easy to handle -- unlike old gas powered behemoths. Their light weight chain saw attachment that fits the same pole works great on palm tree frowns.

I have the 40 volt blower and 8 inch chainsaw both work great. I purchased the hedge trimmer to go with the same 40v battery, works great but it is a little heavy, can be quite a workout if you have a lot of trimming to do.
