Does the job…
Not having to pay Apple prices for an original charger for my MacBook, is just fantastic. I have been looking for a while but grudge paying for an original, so when this one came up for review, I had to try it.This is ideal! It fits the charging slot perfectly and charges my MacBook quickly. It’s great not to have to keep my MacBook plugged in constantly to use it, I can now charge and go and I know it’s going to last for a decent length of time. Definitely works and absolutely recommend!

Reliable replacement
My trusty old MacBook charger finally gave up the ghost, and this one stepped in to fill the void. It's no-frills, but it gets the job done - my MacBook is happily juicing up as I type. The L-tip connector fits snugly, and the 6ft cable gives me a bit of room to manoeuvre. It might not be the most glamorous accessory, but it's a reliable workhorse that keeps my laptop powered up and ready to go.

Works fine but not as good as an Apple charger
Being an IT consultant I tend to go through certain things fairly steadily, one of them being power adapter for my various Mac laptops. A client moving a table broke my spare adapter for my Mid-2012 model 13-Inch MacBook Pro a couple of weeks ago and I needed to replace it. The 13-inch only needs a 60W adapter but as I regularly have to deal with 15-Inch or 17-Inch MacBook Pros from pre-2013 UniBody MBP's I generally get the 85W versions.It seems to work fine and I was surprised to see the Apple-like reaction when I attached the MagSafe connector to the computer. The small indicator light showed green for a few seconds then orange, which is a genuine Apple adapter's way of first testing the power level of the battery in the computer and then starting to charge the battery if required, ending up at green again once fully charged (it does that too). If Cabuty have actually replicated that circuitry they should be applauded.Obviously time will tell but the only issue I have with this adapter is that the UK plug is permanently attached, unlike the genuine Apple adapters that had a removable plug unit that could be quickly replaced for one suitable for the country you were in or even a customised extension cable if the wall or floor power socket was too far away. Having said that, the genuine Apple 85W MacSafe 1 power adapter is currently £75.00 compared to £19 inc VAT so I can afford to buy more spare power adapters if I want to.
