Q: My son is almost 2 and a half. he is a 2t in some clothes and a 4t in others. he is on the tall side but lean (27 almost 28 pounds) would a 2t fit?

My grandson was in 3T clothes and I bought him a 2t costume and it just fit so I bought another one size 4-6. I would go for the bigger size

Q: Is the fabric different on the catboy classic vs deluxe?

The classic does not have gloves but the deluxe has glove & the deluxe look more real and fabric is more heavier

Q: Does this run small???

No, it's about right. I ordered the Large (4-6) for our just turned 5-year old. It fits him fine except that it's quite long, so we need to roll the bottoms.
