A Natural Diuretic
Turns out, corn silk tea is a natural diuretic. Learned this from a Dr. of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. It definitely helps! This product is already in tea bags instead of just lose tea - so convenient. Directions say to brew 5-7 minutes. Doctor said a good 20 minutes so that's what I've been doing.

Taste is not for me
I reviewed this item because there are health benefits from burdock root and I enjoy drinking teas with healthy ingredients and benefits. The positives are caffeine free, non GMO, organic, pure ingredients among other things which I absolutely look for in my teas. So the quality of this tea is great! I took a way a star for the flavor and price. I have never tried burdock before but this is not a flavor of tea I could drink. it was bitter and earthy. I do like mushroom teas that are earthy and I don't mind bitters but the combination here did not appeal to me. I do not add sugars to my teas but I did try honey and sugar to see if I could drink it. Again I just couldn't get past a few sips. I had hoped to like it because I do like a lot of the benefits like anti-inflammatory qualities. I also found the product to be pricy in comparison to other natural teas that might have similar benefits. But perhaps burdock is hard to find or process and justifies a different price point? The star deduction was more subjective and taste related. Those that enjoy this burdock will likely love it.

Overall quality is good, not a lot of flavor.
I'm not familiar with this type of tea, but had an opportunity to try a review sample. The packaging is very nice, and the bag comes in a very presentable golden foil packet. The tea bags also look very nice and seem to be that synthetic cloth that I honestly prefer over paper bags as they rip easily when wet. I weighed a tea bag and it came out to about 1.65 grams, so I suspect 1.5 grams of tea. I can't really give an option on the quality of the tea itself as I didn't open a bag to inspect it, but seemed to be fairly well group up. The tea has a nice hearty scent to it, but I found that it didn't really have much flavor. Again, this may be normal for this type of tea. Overall everything seems to be great quality though I'm not sure if this is a good value or not. I think this type of tea is generally sought for health or medicinal benefit, I certainly wouldn't recommend based on the little flavor I got.

Good Tea
This is my first time tasting Burdock Root Tea. It isn’t bad at all. It’s mild and kind of nutty. I’m assuming that this is how Burdock Root Tea is supposed to taste. For me, it’s a bit too mild. I like more bite. But that doesn’t mean this tea isn’t really good. I can’t grade it down for delivering what it’s supposed to. It’s a very drinkable tea. Fans of Burdock root shouldn’t be disappointed. If I was served this at someone’s house, I wouldn’t hesitate to drink it.As for the holistic claims I’ve read about this tea, I can’t attest to any of them. Read actual studies and you decide whether or not you want to use it for that. I’m just looking at it from a drinking standpoint.

Good Qualities, Well Made, Not a Flavor That I Favor
Soilmount Organic Burdock Root Tea has several features that raise the level of quality over similar herbal teas on the market. The Pros:- Caffeine free- Individually sealed envelopes for each bag, making it great for travel, slide into a briefcase or purse, etc.- Plant based, no GMO- Naturally grown, free of chemicals and pesticides- No added ingredients- Corn fiber tea bags are well-made and biodegradable- Easy to steep and a single bag can make two 8 oz. cups of tea that are not weak or wateryThe health industry boosts several 'potential' benefits for drinking burdock root tea including digestive health, immune system health, blood sugar management, anti-inflammatory effects, detoxification, and skin health. Please recognize that the research states 'some studies suggest' which means the actual effectiveness is not medically known. While the qualities of this tea are many, the taste does not measure the same for me. This particular burdock root tea is a little bitter, woodsy undertones, with an emphasis on this being a 'root' from the earth. For those who appreciate this kind of flavor and want to enjoy a top-grade tea that may offer several benefits to one's body, I can attest to the qualities listed above. For me, even with sweeteners, I could not get to a taste that made me want to finish the cup.

Not an easy flavor but good for detox
The Soilmount Burdock Root Tea arrived in a branded box that contained 18 tea bags. Each tea bag is individually sealed for freshness inside foil-lined envelopes. The natural corn fiber tea bags contain light-colored pieces of root. The instructions advise to brew the tea in 250 ml of boiled water for about 5-7 minutes. Each bag can be reused 2-3 times, which makes the product a better value. This is the first all-burdock tea I've tried, though the root has been an essential ingredient in other detoxifying tea blends I've had.As for the taste, I wish I could say that it has a lovely, comforting taste like chamomile, but burdock root is very earthy. It's almost too intense for me, and I'm usually a fan of most earthy flavors. There is some bitterness, but it's balanced with the tea's mild sweetness. It won't be a tea I crave for flavor, but I'll enjoy it as an occasional tea I drink for its incredible detoxifying effect and other health benefits. I like that this product is organic and well-sealed for freshness. Considering the quality and all of the healthy, eco-friendly considerations of this product, I think it's sold at a fair price.
