Basically plug and play. Charges my AGM lead acid starter battery successfully. I will leave it plugged in to maintain the battery.

I ought a couple, use on some 100 watt panels on my roof to keep two 100Ah battery fully charged. I use to keep my home Ham Radio systems powered 24/7, as well as my Vpap machine. Have had several power failires in this community the last few years, a great benefit to me for several things. Wish they also had a similar 20 Amp version with the 12v/24v operation modes. Nice.

Haven't had time to test the durability but build quality seems fine and it is a true mppt

I bought this to recharge my lifepo4 batteries as i was using them to power an inverter. I have been in electronics for 50 years and followed the instructions. What happened is none of the lights ever came on. I pushed the battery selection button as instructed and nothing came on. I discharged the batteries for 2 hours with high drainage and redid the MPPT controller connection process again. No light came on. The ad for this item looked wonderful and would have suited my needs perfectly and the reviews were really encouraging. I have 2 solar panels in series with a total of 36 volts output which is within specifications. Everything is good to go...but still not light. Nothing. Perhaps I caught the occasional manufacturing defect, however I cannot recommend this device.

This unit is keeping my 100ah lifepo4 battery fully charged. I like the product and it’s working great for me. I will update my review if anything changes.

Great controller for lifepo battery

Update: Upgrading to 4 stars. Again my previous failure with this controller may have been user error or just something the controller did not like in that configuration. However I gave it another try when building a solar battery box for a heavy traffic trail cam that was draining the internal batteries of regular trail cam solar panel battery combos. I was installing an external voltmeter/battery condition display so the lack of a controller display was not an issue for me as it was not necessary to open the box for a convenient battery check. I still deduct a star for lack of a display and scant troubleshooting when it doesn't work but it did work exactly as it should in this standard application so I do have to raise to 4 stars.This controller did not work for me. This could have been user error or a defective controller but neither the controller or documentation did much to indicate error conditions. The controllers I like to use have digital displays that show battery condition, charging input and error codes when necessary. These displays also help to optimize solar panel positioning. After realizing the battery was not charging after several hours and consulting the documentation as well as checking connections and polarity I gave up and replaced it with one of my regular controllers. As I said this could have been my own error but a controller with a more informative display just has too many advantages to use this unless it just works from the get go.
