Broke after a few months
I got this for my brother for Christmas and I guess you only get what you pay for. A cheap too good to be true tracker that breaks after a few months of wear and tear.

Apple FindMy tracker that plugs into your car’s ODB2 port
This is essentially an AirTag-like device that you pair up with your Apple account, you need an iPhone to use this and for setup (although it may be possible to use an iPad, but I can’t say 100%). It doesn’t require batteries or charging, it draws power from your vehicle’s ODB2 port. The only issue is that you can’t track its location in real-time when the vehicle is powered off. But even if the car is turned off, you can still see the last place that it pinged an iPhone (or other Apple devices like MacBooks and iPads). And the location will update shortly after the car is powered on again. You setup this vehicle tracker using the FindMy app, this is also what you use to locate it after it’s paired. Keep in mind that this device relies on the presence of other Apple devices close enough to transmit its location (anonymously) over Bluetooth, which is then sent to Apple’s servers and that’s how you are able to monitor the location of this tracker. It’s not as precise or constantly connected like something using cellular data (4G/LTE/5G/etc) but those type of trackers require monthly plans just like a smartphone does. This is completely free to use after you pay for the tracker itself. It does require you to already be in the Apple ecosystem, you can’t use this if you have an Android smartphone (Samsung/OnePlus/Pixel).It’s easy to use and a great tool to have if you forget where you parked sometimes or even worry about getting your car stolen. Not sure it’s really suitable for something as high-stakes as that, but you still would be better off than not being able to track it at all.

A Good Way to Add Tracking to your Car
This tracker is very simple to set up and to use. It is an Apple AirTag type tracker that is compatible with the iOS “Find My” application. To setup you plug the unit into your OBD socket under the dashboard and then associate the tracker to your iPhone using the Find My application. It will appear under the “items” tab of the app and show you the location of your car. Accuracy depends on the same factors that impact the accuracy of an AirTag. I haven’t had any problems with the tracker.

Waste of money
The first thing I got from Amazon that didn’t work at all. It only tracks when I’m with it. Disappointed

Privacy
This device works great, easy to install to, however when my son taken the car for a ride sensor pop a notification on his phone that he is being tracked, this item gets only two stars from me for privacy and becomes totally useless if car gets stolen it will notify carjacked in a heart beat they are being tracked.

Just get a pod
These were a bit combursome to setup, and I do not sell any advantage over the pod
