Got this so my hair wouldn’t dry out in the sauna. It’s so cute and comfy. Definitely gives you a little laugh while in the sauna.

It’s a very heavy hat for sauna and not a comfortable fit at all.

The hat was initially a little tight on the forehead and is quite tall making it look goofy. But I guess that's part of the point. Once it stretched a little, I could wear it lower and cover my ears but the front cap piece needs to be bend up for better visibility. The material is pretty thick and it doesn't shed like my other wool hats - the tag does say 100% wool. As long as it is real wool, that's even better because I hate having little fibers in my mouth. However, unlike my other 100% wool hats, this one smells like lamb or horse and manure. I tried airing it out in the sun and there's still a smell which interferes with relaxation. But, the hat had no issues protecting my head from the heat with the multiple sauna sessions I used it.

Got this for my husband for our sauna and he loves to wear it.

Just thought it looked silly. The hat was too tall and when I layed down in my sauna, the hat was pushed down against side wall.

Although it's quite tiny and can only fit one human at a time, now that we have an affordable home sauna, I splurged & got two silly sauna hats - one for men and one for women. Structurally, this one's proved to be the more effective because the high top can hold more air, keeping the top of your head from overheating. As a result, this is the hat that's in demand by every user, regardless of the brim implying some gender bias in favor of males for what's clearly meant to be a captain's hat. Happily, that's no problem in our household, because this apartment sized sauna only has a capacity of one at a time. Ahhh, sweet solitude and sweat.
