Excellent Quality
Really good picture quality. Much better than the duel lens version which is also 4K.

Doomed to early failure and no support.
Update: Reolink sent me a replacement device….so updated to 4stars.Original: One star is to reflect both the quality of the device, and equally importantly, subsequent Reolink support. A company with such lofty claims should think again when their devices fail after just over 3 years (earlier in case of the solar panel). My Reolink outdoor camera let in water and has stopped working. Reolink refuse to take any responsibility as their warranty is for two years only. So if you prefer to spend money on cameras that last somewhat longer, and at least there is some cover after a more reasonable period of time has passed, then look elsewhere. Waste of money.

Not impressed
Easy to install and setup. Very good focus but very poor zoom.If you have a long surveillance are you should reconsider as the zoom is barely noticeable.Night vision is very poor quality. If is no external light is almost useless. Is good if you have some light in the area. The glare is very bad if the sun comes directly on the camera.Update: Although the camera iteslf can have improvements, the CS is excellent.

The night time facial recognition is non existent
This was purchased to primarily to view the bottom of our drive to pick up any intruders at night. There is only one point of entry through a gap of 3m, It is positioned approx. 8m from its target. It totally fails in being able to identify someone's face in darkness in IR or when the onboard floodlight is illuminated. If I required the footage to identify someone say trying to steal one of our vehicles you would fail, faces are just a blur even at our doorstep which is approx. 3m away. Let me be clear, it does pick people up it is just impossible to identify them from the footage. The zoom is also ineffective, it is very short what you can zoom in on. During daylight the camera was top notch, but I did not purchase it for that.I programmed it to not send alerts in the areas blanked out as you can do in the app, it does not work, there are many false alerts. I think this is due to the fact it is alerted by noise. We live at the top of a cul de sac and it would start recording even though you could not see the vehicle on the camera then the vehicle would appear. I could not find anyway to disable this. This was with it set to identify people only, but if it is reacting to noise how can it differentiate between noises and people? It was also set off by rain and loads of other interactions I could not identify.I also found the app very clunky. Setting up was not an issue. After this it just seems up to you to figure out how to configure it with no guide. The playback is clunky, the live view is very clunky trying to move the camera, it either doesn't move or moves too much when you press the buttons to pan around. The only good point I found was when you select playback you can select 'persons' only and it only displays those recordings.I also found the app drained the battery on my mobile phone immensely. This was even without push notifications on. It is the first time I have had a CCTV + app so not sure if others are like this.I have taken it down today after I have given it a good run for two weeks trying various settings, but failed, it will be returned for a refund.I will be trying the Tapo C325 which has the colour pro night vision and a F1.0 Super-Aperture Lens. I don't need the PAZ features, it was nice to have. I notice Reolink seem to have their own version available on the E1 Outdoor CX, but the clunky software app and unwanted detections is enough to make me try a different manufacturer.

The best security company ever!
I’ve got an mis match of security cameras and too many apps to go with them. I done some research and found Riolink, always thought there cameras are bit pricy compared to other brands but then when looking into things more you see why. These cameras are compatible with well everything, home assistant, smart speakers etc and they have the whole range which covers everything you could want. So many options for storage, currently I’m using micro SD cards but will get a NVR later on as got some more cameras to fit including some PoE ones and eventually replace my old out of date system.Highly recommend and worth the bit extra price tag
