I should have given more attention to other poor reviews. This stuff is useless.Used it on an injury to my finger to try and protect against infection risk. I applied it carefully and allowed loads of time to dry but it starts peeling after minimal time. And after I'd washed my hands only once the film of product seemed to have washed away completely.Such a shame the original Gemolene New Skin has been withdrawn from sale. It used to dry fast and had pretty good durability on the skin. Yes it was acetone-based solvent but for limited short-term exposure on wounds it was great.

Very good for those annoying minor cuts where its awkward to put a plaster

Mmm ok... So. Does it work? Yes and no.The instructions says that it will last a day or two. No it doesn't. It lasts about 2-3 hours and then it starts pealing off.It also states that its waterproof. No chance, the moment it has contact with water, it turns into some sort of goey dough and you have to remove and reapply again.One thing I liked about it is that it doesn't sting at all and it dries extremely quick, like 6-8 minutes.Would I buy it again? Probably yes. Only because its easy to apply and it doesn't become dirty like bandages that could potentially lead to infection.For the money (which I bought under £10 GBP). Yes its worth it.

Works great

It simply is inadequate. Th Germolene equivalent, which is no longer produced, sealed the split with one application and worked efficiently. This product is useless and I will never buy it again as it neither seals the split nor alleviates cracked knuckles.
