The perect solution for mounting an SSD on you iPhone and shooting Pro-Res video
The new iPhone 15 Pro Max has a special power: it will support saving large Pro-Res video to a small SSD storage solution through the USB-C port. This new capability allows you to save terabytes worth of video in the field! One spring-latches onto the ssd and the other side spring-latches onto the camera in such a way as to not be in the picture. The large end has a mount for a monopod or a tripod, the other end a shoe mount for a light or maybe a shotgun microphone. (I haven't figured out how to connect a microphone AND the ssd to the one USB-C jack, but maybe there is a way.)One thing I shoud mention. Shooting Pro-Res video takes a lot of energy, as the camera battery is driving the whole process. I make sure I have a backup battery bank to recharge the camera midday to make sure I can keep going. Hopefully there will be some innovations to facilitate this process, cause the camera is really good and the files very large. In any case, this Powerig holds the iPhone and the ssd together so that I can concentrate on getting the shot and no so much with the connections.. BTW, they included a nice short USB-C cable that has 90º angles to make it fit better. Nice touch.!

Perfect for vlog with iphone
It's a perfect ourchase for my iphone and external storage to ensure I have more storage on my phone. The quality is super durable, it holds the phone tight enough to secure the external storage and your phone at once, it works well.

A key component of my video setup. Love it!
I have been recording my kid's basketball games. I recently upgraded to a Pixel 8 Pro and wanted to start recording in 4K, 60fps with 10-bit HDR. Officially, the phone does not support this combo. I used mcpro24fps application to unlock the combination, but the phone would get too hot and quickly run out of storage. I ended up getting a Samsung T9 SSD and paired it with this device. I love that this attaches to my tripod and the cable is a perfect fit with the angles to not add tension to the phone's USB port. It also keeps it neat and out of the way of my hand. A very neat solution. I am now recording hour long videos with the mentioned settings, and I am super thankful for this purchase.

Sometimes Simple is the Best
Fantastic solution to attaching an SSD to your iPhone 15 Pro. Just clip and plug the cable and you’re good to go. The cold shoe and quarter inch screw hole completes the whole package. Easy recommendation if you plan on external storage recording.

So close but missed on one critical point!!! Don’t buy if you use any IPhone case
I have a iPhone15 Pro Max in an Apple FineWoven Case. The teeth of the brackets that holds the IPhone in place, are not deep enough to securely hold my IPhone. The Iphone initially fits in fine but any slight jar to the IPhone and it will pop out of the holder. Grip fit for SSD drive is fine. Comes with 8” USB C cable with both ends 90 degree right angled. Cold shoe on top of phone bracket and 1/4” thread on bottomIf only someone tested this before production, making the Iphone grip a little deeper would have been soooo easy and solved the problem, I can NOT recommend because of this flaw.

Mount both phone and SSD
This is a simple mount that helps to mount either the phone, SSD or both. It’s a great option for those who want to connect an SSD to their phone but also for someone filming and want both an SSD and phone as part of the camera rig.A small nitpick is that the phone mount is on the shallow side so it doesn’t handle very thick cases well.
