Don't be fooled by the small blade, this is the full-handle, ultra-useful, ultra-comfortable EDC you are looking for!
This is my first ESEE and my new favorite EDC fixed blade. Compared to Bark River, LT Wright, Benchmade and other makes that I currently own, in the past several weeks since I purchased this knife, it is the one that I carry the most. While all of those brands produce excellent products in their own right, and some even much "nicer" than this ESEE, I'll explain why I have become such a fan of this little knife so quickly.First, be aware that this knife has a small blade. It has been knocked for this by some other reviewers, so be aware of what you are getting. I find the size is perfect for daily tasks, hiking and light woodscraft. In fact my favorite feature of this knife is its overall design and configuration. The blade is very small, but is stout with a shape that makes it nimble and handy for a variety of tasks. The handle is a full length, four-finger handle and very comfortable in hand (I have large hands). Taken together, this yields a knife that is small enough to carry concealed on the belt without ever knowing it is there while still being very comfortable and practical in use.The fit and finish of the knife is very nice, though not on par with the more premium (and pricey!) brands, some of which I mentioned above. Mostly this presents itself in the form of details which indicate mass production-style process rather than hand-finishing. For instance, the tang is slightly proud compared to the attached micarta scales, and the edge of the tang still carries the marks from the (presumably) laser cutting. These details in no way lessen the utility of the knife. On the contrary, part of the reason I prefer to carry this knife is the way it's willing, utilitarian character begs to be used. The knife comes razor sharp, holds an edge well and the edge is easily maintained. Just make sure to pick up some dry lubricant to keep the carbon steel blade protected. The spine is ground to 90 degrees which is great for striking a ferro rod and scraping fine tinder. The sheath that this knife comes with is perfectly acceptable for the price point; its of decent quality and holds the knife securely. I upgraded mine to an Armatus Carry Architect sheath and I carry it with an Exotac FireROD attached. Its a super secure and comfortable combination that I never notice on my belt.In summary, get this knife; you won't be sorry! If you do I'm sure this will be your new favorite EDC as well.

great knife- a little small
I bought this because I felt bad for buying what I thought was a cheap Chinese clone. Tuns out, the clone is bigger, not really the same knife at all. I prefer the larger one, and so gave this one to my son. It fits his hands perfectly. Are you paying attention, Esee? release that CR 3.0 and I will buy it!Needed a little sharpening out of the box, but no problem. Nice 90 degree edge on the spine. I like that the sheath is just raw leather. I plan to wet form it then wax it with beeswax, just for fun, but I think this knife deserves a kydex sheath. Etsy has an option for about $40.Overall, I'd say this is a great knife. Perfect for a neck knife, small or big game field knife, foraging knife or a kids knife.

Great little blade
I bought this mainly as a knife for bird processing. Turkey, pheasant, etc. Was seriously considering the Benchmade Flyway but just couldn't see paying $180. I did handle a Flyway and I am very glad I went with this Esee!! Only complaint is the blade is a bit thicker than what I need for a bird knife. Very sharp out of the box and very nice overall quality. This is my first Esee and it won't be my last. My collection is mostly folders, but the next time I see the need or want for a fixed blade, it will be another Esee!! Knocked it down to 4 stars only because of the blade thickness and my intended purpose for this knife. If I bought to use as a bushcraft knife I would give it 5 stars.

Tiny but Mighty
I have several E.S.E.E. knives now and I love every one of them, they’re easy to sharpen, they hold an edge well and they take a beating!***Be advised that this knife is pretty small, it performs nonetheless! But... For someone with larger hands, this knife will make you feel like a Giant!

Just buy it. Yes not cheap. Yes the best there is
This is the slickest handiest can’t let someone borrow-iest knife. I’m a esee fan but this little gem is my favorite out of all mine. Don’t let a knife person use it. You will have to fight them to get your knife back. Holds a edge, easy to rework the edge and it’s an esee. Don’t think about it. Just buy it. No really. You will thank me later. Is it in your cart yet. Why haven’t you clicked your shopping cart to check out. Why are you still reading this. If you are still reading this and looking for me to say something bad about this knife or you haven’t bought it yet just give up and go to a box store and get a five dollar folder. This thing is worth its weight in gold. You order yours yet?!?

Great edc little knife
Not much to say, it is an esee. Sharp spine, sharp edge and enough handle to work with. For my taste the sheath is a bit low (quality stuff tho) so I made my own.
