The standing desk of my dreams…
I’d been looking for a suitable standing desk pretty much ever since the pandemic sent me to work from home. But after years of using various makes at the office, I had determined that most had two flaws: they didn’t go down low enough for me to be comfortable with my feet on the floor, and/or had a support bar in the middle which I kept knocking my knees on. I also wanted a frame-only option that would fit my existing 120 x 60 cm desktop.I was delighted therefore to find the Inmaker frame because not only does it come in two sizes, one of which does go down low enough to be comfortable for an average-sized woman, but it also has a C-shape design which puts the connecting bars in the middle back far enough that I don’t keep kneecapping myself. And no problem with the desktop size.My husband was also very impressed by the secure, compact packaging as well as the instructions and clearly labelled parts. Best to install the metal headphone hook before you screw on the desktop; otherwise, you won’t have enough angle to hook it into its holes. There’s also a fabric bag for miscellaneous items that you can attach to the frame at any time.As for operation, no complaints. I easily configured the sitting and standing heights, so can toggle between them with no problem. The operation is smooth and quiet, to the extent that the cat wasn’t disturbed while sitting on top of the desk as it moved! The only worry so far is that it occasionally develops a hum in one of the engines. At first, I thought it was a distant vacuum cleaner, but then it stopped when I pressed a button on the control panel. This has only happened twice in the six weeks I’ve had it, so hopefully just a quirk. Otherwise, it’s been going up and down daily and I’m very happy with it!

Beautiful and sturdy, doesn't scratch easily.
Stable and beautiful. I combined this with a plain oak worktop which I sanded and varnished, and I'm honestly super happy with it. One of the few standing desks which goes down to 63cm which I appreciate as a short person. Great quality desk, worth the price.

Amazing!
Amazing, been using my standing desk for 2 years now. This is excellent quality. I just bought a bamboo table from Ikea as a table top and it looks incredible

Smooth, quick operation and has some handy features
This is a brilliant standing desk frame, and it was just what I was after. The desk is made from heavy steel and feels well-made and very sturdy. Assembly didn’t take me too long once I had cleared enough space on the living room floor. The instructions were helpful, clear, and easy to understand, and the precise machining meant that putting the desk together went smoothly and without problems. All the required fixtures and tools for construction are included in the box, although you will have to drill your own holes in whichever desktop you are planning on using. The product listing has a handy assembly video, which is very helpful.Operating the desk is simple thanks to the easy-to-use control panel. The raising and lowering function works quickly, smoothly, and quietly. I like that there is a collision detection feature that will stop lowering the desk if it detects any obstacles. This could be very handy if I was to accidentally push my chair in too far. You can set and store the desired heights, up to three individual heights, for your desk, so you do not need to keep manually finding the sweet spot, which is very convenient.Another feature I like offered by the control panel is the ability to set a sedentary reminder, which will sound an alarm after a predetermined duration, perfect if I am getting lost in my writing. There is also an auto-lift mode that will raise your desk, again after a predetermined duration. Both of the durations for these modes can be adjusted to best suit your preference. They can also be disabled if you would rather not be disturbed or wish to choose when to raise the desk yourself. The control panel also has a very useful child lock feature. It is especially handy if you work from home and have little ones that might be exploring in your room when you are away from your desk. The desk can lift up to 100kg without any issues, so there is no need to worry about having too much stuff on your desktop, which is a bonus.Overall, I think this is a great desk to have in your office or workspace and I am happy it will help improve both my health and my productivity.

Excellent desk legs, terrible packaging
I got these desk legs a week ago and have been very happy with the final product: very solid quality, looks very nice with rounded legs, super sturdy, easy to assemble with good Ikea like instructions, the electronics have the right level of settings but not too complicated/ gimmicky features, its quiet to go up and down, with soft start+ stop. Adjustable width for a wide range of desk tops sizes - I got an oak kitchen worktop cut down to 1.4m length.Only downside was the insane amount of plastic packaging- a whole mountain was left: about 15 bags for screws, same again for the rest of the assembly, plus foam padding- all of this could have been either avoided or done in paper. Very disappointing in the year 2024. Hence 4 stars instead of 5.

Solid quality, need space & time for assembly
INMAKER Standing Desk FramePoints to consider- needs some space to assemble, and having a large flat enough floor (with cardboard protection) helps, slightly easier with two people - includes required tools and good instruction leaflet- smooth operation, with controls and pre-sets- good collision detection, if you accidentally roll your chair under it- looks like it should last awhile4 stars.
