The tassel will come off very easily. you can add some superglue to it in order to keep them on.

I bought this prayer rope thinking that, because there were so many other reviews talking about how easily it comes apart, the manufacturer must have fixed this problem already. They have, in fact, not done so; the tassel came off pretty much as soon as I got the prayer rope. I tried repeatedly to fix it, by tying it back on and fusing the cords together, but it only worked temporarily. Then the tassel itself fell apart, and by then it was too far gone to fix. However the prayer rope itself did not fall apart, so one could still use it if one didn't mind the lack of a tassel; but in that case, I have far better prayer ropes that don't have tassels, so why bother? Two out of five stars because it can technically still be used, but I was fairly disappointed with this prayer rope.
