This wooden play food set is a fantastic value for the price! It comes with a nice variety of pieces and even a little basket, which adds to the fun of pretend shopping and cooking. I really appreciate that the pieces use Velcro instead of magnets—it’s a much safer choice for younger kids, and still gives that satisfying “cutting” feeling when pulled apart.My toddler loves practicing fine motor skills by slicing the food, and it’s been great for imaginative play. The only downside is that a few of the pieces are pretty small and could be a choking hazard for younger babies, so definitely supervise closely if little ones are around. Overall, it’s a great buy for kids 2 and up!

Good quality

Got these for my 1 year old to occupy herself when I cook and they do just that. These arrived fast, and are great quality. The wood makes them durable and satisfying to her ( she loves to throw things lol). As she gets older I believe she’ll really enjoy them and to actual use them to practice cutting/slicing.

Gave it 4 because it comes with a shape sorting lid but it’s not shapes inside so doesn’t make sense

These are the best! They are wooden and pre sliced and the velcro that attaches them back together is strong so it can be pulled apart and replaced many times without wearing down the velcro

We own quite a bit of the Melissa and Doug wooden food and I'm always so turned off by it. It's huge for little hands, and never fits pretend play bows/plates. Not to mention, it's heavy. I understand they want durable pieces...but these are also for tiny hands! However, this set is FANTASTIC! They're made very well and look so nice. I love the bin they come in, which can even be repurposed as a shape sorter activity! The lettuce is the absolute coolest since it can be peeled into leaves or sliced! The velcro isn't *too* tough to get apart either! This is such a lovely set!

This is such a nice set of play food, I am impressed by the quality of these pieces. They are so cute too, our kids love playing with them. It’s also great that it comes with a storage case to store everything.I’m usually really iffy about letting my kids play with the play kitchen knives, but I’m ok with these because they are thicker than the usual plastic ones. They feel safer to me. I love that this set also comes with a cutting board and two knives so each of my kids has one to use. They love chopping these play food pieces!
