AquaSprouts Fountain: Hydroponic, Aquaponic, Water Garden Kit, Charcoal, 8 Gallons

I love this fountain. Goldfish in the bottom and plants on top. They help each other to thrive. Great concept. I recommend.

Mine lasted for 9 years before the top attachment point broke. After about a year it fully matured with its assortment of plants going crazy (Some pothos coming from it became a stunning massive indoor hedge that drank gallons per day 😂). My only issue aside from it’s attachment design fail was it’s waterfall splashing and speckling the area around it, but simply clipping on two clothespins at different angles to customize both its waterfall pattern and sound resolved that and hanging a little container with filter foam and bottom holes cleared any excessive water sediment and made it silent whenever needed. I’m seriously tempted to get another and modify its attachment.

Nice concept. It doesn’t work. There’s not enough support to keep the top in place when full. The instructions are not adequate. The system needs work and improvements. I ended up with a flood, and decided this cannot be used indoors.

The fountain is really easy to assemble, and functions exactly like shown. Things to consider if you are planning on setting this up indoors the water flow can be pretty loud and because the stream is narrow the sound more resembles someone using the restroom, or running a bath, than natural flowing water. The pump flow either can't be adjusted or not shown in the instructions or easily done. Also if the flow ever reaches the overflow drain it sometimes will run down bottom of plant holder and leak out the back. Be careful with the amount of weight you have in the plant holder the whole thing is plastic and held up by a thin metal bracket that bends easily. I am swapping for one with a wider stream. Seems like this will be perfect one day for outdoors.
