Nicely upgraded electric heated warm-water bidet
This was purchased to replace a Uspa A7 that broke after 8-9 years; the Biobidet is a update to that product after the company was acquired by Bemis. They fixed a couple issues with the original product including high vampire drain for water heating and introduced one with an undocumented fix. Both products do the intended function well.Pros:- If the seat heat is off, there is no unreasonable vampire drain. The power consumption is less than one watt with the lights off, or around 1 watt with the lights on (which represents 7-8 kWh/year). It has a full on-demand water heater that is powerful enough to heat the water when the flow starts, thus there is no vampire drain just sitting there keeping water warm.- The primary controls are simplified. Its a knob that allows selection of which stream by turning foward (for front parts) or turning backward (for back parts).- Unlike predecessor which had warning not to sit or stand on lid, this model has no warnings and seems to be solid enough for 200lb individual to sit on the closed lid (for example to put on socks). I'd never stand on a toilet seat because any model could collapse, or shift sideways dropping you in the bowl.- The mechanical handle is a major upgrade compared to buttons or a remote. Your fingers will quickly remember how to operate it, even in middle of night without turning on any lights. Simpler is better.Cons:- Vampire drain for seat heat average about 10 watts or 80 kWh/year. This is quite significant its enough to drive an electric car 300 miles. If using it enables you to turn down the heat a degree (avoiding the shock of the cold seat) then it pays for itself.- The default and documented settings cause it to beep twice when you sit on the seat (I guess its acknowledging the presence sensor is "armed" and it can squirt. This is extremely annoying for both the user and others in the house in the middle of the night. Thankfully, the beep can be disabled by pressing and holding the seat heat button for 2 seconds (it will then beep twice). It will not beep again until the setting is repeated or the power is cycled. The installation isn't difficult but you have to ensure there are no drips/leaks at all the juctions (at the shutoff valve, at the bottom of the tank, the whole tee, and both ends of the bidet hose. Dry the connection with a paper towel. Sample with a dry paper towel; if any water is picked up the joint neds to be tighted another quarter turn.I am also happy there is no blowdryer. After studying electric hand dryers for spreading covid plumes, I'd hate to see what plumes a blower in a toilet could produce. If you need to dry use ~4 squares of 1 ply TP.

Great Investment!
I was very apprehensive about buying and installing an electric bidet seat but now I’m so glad that I did. The seat has a very high quality build. It was extremely easy to install, taking less than 20 minutes total and not a single leak. The slim design is perfect, very understated. The feature set is excellent including a heated seat, warm water and air dryer and night light. I’ll definitely be buying another for my guest bath. It’s an excellent value for the price.

Great device. Works well. Needed this forever.
Excellent design and features. You don’t know what you’re missing until you are NOT using your favorite toilet. 🚽 This has heated seat and heated water features. Cool water for summertime. Can’t go wrong. Installation is easy as far as toilet seats go.

inconsistent piece of junk - stopped working properly after 6 months. dont use this brand
**** 01/13/25 UPDATE ***updating to 1star. the bidet works 50% of the time. i have to click "auto" 50% of the time, to get it activated, or increase the pressure, or bring out the nozzle more to make it work. it works less than 50% off the time on the first try. i bought it on prime day while "on sale" at around 600usd. on sale fro 800 usd. and now just shows 594usd. what a scam piece of junk. wouldnt recommend this brand.OLD:Its very nice product, with a lot of features, but the remote is unnecessarily hugeInstallation instruction could be improved. There are washers provided with screws but no mention of it.The template for install is nice, but gotta be careful upon install and make sure you offset enough to avoid the seat from getting hit against the tank that holds the water.i had to adjust a few times, but when i finally turned it on, the searts open good enough but still hit the water tank despite the offset i put in, so i have to put a towel to avoid from having it banging and making noice especially for middle of the nightThe seats automatically opens when you walk in front of it but i dont think it auto closesthe remote doesnt need to be this big. its massive, and having to flip it back and forth for various settings, or mistakenly clicking the wrong button on opposite sideThe bondell remote is much better and will probably end up getting that one for my spare bathroomthey include a spare toilet line in case you have a pipe one, which is nice, could have prevented me from buying an extra one.would be 5 stars if remote wasnt as huge, and the instructions a bit clearer. the seat seems to be leaving a lot of smudges as well which doesnt seem to be a problem with the brondell brand one.wish the inside light could be changed to white or blue, currently the one i have seems to only be white.also if there was 2 users it would be cool especially with a remote that sizethere is an auto button on the side which i havent tried yet, but could be more precise in the instruction
