I picked this up since our kitchen drawer was turning into a knife jungle. I wasn’t trying to get stabbed just grabbing a spoon, you know? This thing sticks right on the fridge, and boom — knives up, drawer safe again. It actually looks kind of cool too, like you know what you’re doing in the kitchen even if you don’t.The magnet is strong, so the knives stay put, even the big ones. I tested it with my chef knife and it didn’t slide or anything. It was way easier than trying to hang something on the wall with screws and tools I don’t even own. I just stuck it on and that was it. Even my mom said, “Okay, that’s pretty smart.”Now for the small stuff — the wood part looks nice, but it’s not super thick, so don’t expect it to be some fancy cutting board-type thing. Also, if your fridge has curves or texture, it might not stick perfectly flat. Mine did okay, but I could see it being a little tricky on other surfaces.Overall, I like it. It makes the kitchen feel less messy and I don’t have to dig around for a knife anymore. It’s simple, not flashy, but it works. Pretty solid for something that doesn’t need holes in the wall.

I have had my eye on a magnetic knife strip to use on the side of my refrigerator for some time, and could never find one that seemed right for my kitchen. This Acacia wood is the real deal...it's really beautiful! It's quite easy to install. I love the authenticity of real wood..You can use the two sticky applicators provided that fit snuggly into the predrilled fitted holes on either end of the backside (of the knife strip), by securing a small screw through the front of the knife strip holes on either end to draw it into the knife holder itself. There are four wood plugs (you only need two to cover each screw hole on the front, save the other two later if you want to move it) that make the surface seem flawless. Peel off the back sticky covers, and secure to your fridge giving the ability to securely stick the entire knife holder onto the fridge surface (I used a level at the same time); Whalla! Easy peasy.It's quite durable.I originally thought the whole unit was magnetic so that it would magnetically adhere to the fridge surface, but not so. The adhesive strip installation is ideal for any other smooth surface like ceramic tile or a metal surface as well.It's nice they offer a mounting option if you want to install your knife strip onto a wood or drywall surface requiring screw ankers.It looks so classy!I am more than thrilled with this purchase. I think I might buy another one that is longer, for more storage capacity having the ease and functionality this offers me for quick retrieval.

I wanted a way to store my knives that I use most often without taking up counterspace. I found this Acacia Wood magnetic knife strip. The surfaces is smooth and the color is a nice rich color. Its 16.5 inch long so it holds a lot of knives of various sizes. What I liked the most is its a no drill installation. It comes with these clear plastic plates with a strong adhesive back. You can apply it to most surfaces even your refrigerator. I washed the backsplash, then dried it before adding the adhesive backed plates. Then you add the magnetic strip to the plates using a screw. The screw is only long enough to go through the wood and the small cupped space on the plate. Once you have the bar in place it comes with wood plugs so you never see the screws. What was surprising to me was how strong the adhesive plates are they are holding up on my smooth stone backsplash. I am very happy with my purchase.

The magnets aren't as strong as they could be. I put my knives on it blade down, so that the handle will stop them from sliding. On the positive side, it doesn't scratch my knives like the old steel model did.

Beautiful looking magnetic knife holder. However, the magnets were not strong enough to hold the knives. They slid off. These were not particularly heavy knives and are Wusthof knives made in Germany, so excellent quality. Very disappointed because I love the way they look. Had to return.
