Great battery life and plenty of power!
Truly amazing battery life (more than five hours at high output level) and great sound. It can charge while in operation and the batteries are reasonably priced and hot swappable.Bluetooth works great and tone controls are very usable. This is a fantastic product!

Great sound
Sounds great, bass sounds good and this speaker gets loud... I live in an apartment so can't really test it but not even halfway volume it thumps and your body can definitely feel it lol. I love the fact it's battery powered. It charges when you plug the speaker into an outlet for those curious. I can finally be up in the mountains and get a Sunset DJ set going now! Excited for sure! Quality seems good and value is good as well, bought a used like new and saved even more. The weight is manageable, about 35lbs I think? Overall great durability and performance on this speaker, I'm happy.

So far, a bit of disappointment
Purchased about three months ago for our church band, and our Gospel Bluegrass group to use in outdoor festival gigging. I've tried it on a couple of fronts so far, and to be perfectly honest I'm a bit disappointed. Mackie has always been an excellent name. I bypassed a couple of cheaper alternatives, chasing the name. It's not that it's bad, it's just not great. Three stars are generous. The sound, even mixing and playing with it as much as I can is mediocre at best. The thing kept cutting out and that may have been my fault but in the middle of our first gig it gave me a lot of grief. The Bluetooth function works nice. Like other reviewers I was very disappointed that the 12 Go does not work with the app, but the 8 Go does. I suppose this will work, I hope I can work out the cutting out problem. But Mackie, you ain't what you used to be.

Check if battery charges asap
Great sound, but the battery did not charge plugged in as soon as it arrived I left it charging for hours tried it out but as soon as I unplugged it it would completely die so I left it plugged in for a whole day got home to try it again and no luck didn’t charge at all, pretty disappointed with Mackie thought it was a higher quality but was proven wrong.

Wish I would have known that this doesn’t have a controlling app, and the 8go does
So far so good, great in every environment

It's very loud and works nicely in wireless stereo mode
I got two of these, and I've been using them for travel and DJing. It's very loud and the battery life is very good. Recommended.

Battery or powered speaker, 2 channels, pole mount, can daisy a 2nd
I have a lot of music gear, but did not have a battery operated option for times when I didn't want to snake power cables all over the place. This does the trick. Immediately paired up to my phone via bluetooth when I flipped it on. Was able to play playlists from three different music apps on my phone. Clear sound, no issues. Speaker itself has only gain/volume controls - no eq. The two channels have separate gain control, so you can balance the output of two sources. I like that the battery is basically a lithium box that can be replaced. (You can purchase another battery to have on hand.) The batteries charge on board. Recommend set up testing at home, plugged in and let the battery charge before heading to the venue. The back of the speaker has a quick/easy key printed on it, showing what the various LED colors/blinking or not actually mean. There are four molded in handles, 1 each on top and bottom back and then matching molded handles on the sides nothing to stick out. The edges are nice and smooth, grill looks good. Fit and finish is quality, what you'd expect from pro audio gear. The inputs are single plug: takes both XLR and 1/4", and there's the thru jack as well to daisy chain a 2nd. Tested with Channel 1 for vox and Channel 2 for my guitar (guitar has onboard eq). Worked just fine, able to adjust guitar eq to compensate (recommend starting at flat). The speaker itself is fairly large and heavy (35 lbs), but I can still get it on a speaker stand easily enough. Sound is crisp and clear, full range, well powered. For transporting, I recommend getting a padded case with wheels. If you're going to leave it set up inside, like a studio, recommend getting a dust cover. I like this a lot, GREAT for what I need to handle general sound events without cables.

Clear sound, easy operation
Right out of the box this speaker give off a very professional vibe. Everything from the fit and finish to the controls and ports remind me of professional audio equipment like amps and main speakers I worked with in the past. The case is solid and robust. It seems like it could take a lot of abuse and travel well. The handles that are built into the body are conveniently placed on all four sides and feel very comfortable and ergonomic while carrying the speaker. All of the controls and LED indicators are grouped together at on the top half at the rear of the speaker. Operation and connections are simple and straight forward. As soon as the unit was turned on, it went into Bluetooth discovery mode. I had it paired with my iPhone within seconds. The green “PAIR” light next to the Bluetooth logo went immediately from blinking to solid upon connection. The “LINK” light next to it is for connecting to another THRASH212 GO but I only have one. The “BATTERY” light changes color to indicate charge level which lasted very long during my use. There is a super useful guide printed right there on the case to interpret the colors. The two input channels with their corresponding XLR / 1/4” jacks and gain controls are just below with the main volume right next-door. I was very happy to see a “THRU” XLR plug under the volume control. I will be using this for using this speaker as a recording monitor in a project I’m working on with a friend. Finally the plug and toggle switch for main power are on the lower half. This speaker has incredibly clear sound. We were using it to play some holiday music. We were halfway through a song I have heard dozens of times before I realized that there were intentional conversations in the background of the recording. I had never even noticed these before. This really impressed me. I am no audiophile but I can certainly appreciate good sound when it surpasses all expectations.I am extremely impressed with this speaker and expect to get an absolute ton of use out of it.
