USB C port stopped working after first day of use
Once set up on my desk I was delighted with my new set up. My 2024 Mac Mini M4 (personal) and one year old HP laptop (work) were plugged into the monitor using the HDMI and USB C ports respectively. The laptop starting charging, the KVM was switching between them both beautifully, I set up the monitor settings how I wanted them and was good to go.Then the monitor started going black and saying no USB C input detected. I ensured the laptop was updated, tried different USB C cables and then checked the Mac Mini with the USB C port but nada… caput. The monitor was restarted, the computers were restarted, the cables were all either used and working cables or brand new high performance cables. Sadly I had to conclude that this monitor was going back and returned it on day 2. Great service though with free UPS collection from my home so it could have been much worse I guess.Back to the drawing board now to look for another monitor…

Great Monitor
So far so good, really enjoying the monitor especially with multitasking, I can have my laptop on one side and my PlayStation on the other. The camera is an added benefit especially for online meetings. Does a good job with gaming but it isn’t a gaming monitor so don’t expect magic 😂

KVM and internal speakers + webcam.
It REALLY does KVM switch between sources. Internal web-cam and speakers are very handy though!

Good for gaming, Bad for graphics design
Great size, sturdy.Lacks colour accuracy even after adjustment. Lack of sharpness and clarity for graphic design purposes with noticeable fringing. Great for gaming, though took a minute to figure out how to get correct screen ratio on windows device. Had to change via nvidia panel. Speakers are alright, loud but nothing to shout about in terms of quality.I expected better for the price, and accuracy issues have meant I needed to return. Fine for anyone who doesn't need to be specific

Stopped working within the hour
Display quality is really good and KVM works well, but terrible compatibility with detecting older PCs. Speakers stopped working after 30mins and webcam and microphone stops working after a minute of a Teams call. Monitor returned as faulty.

Windows Hello does not work with the popup webcam - speakers tinny
One of the reasons I purchased this monitor was the promise of Windows Hello via the popup webcam on the monitor - as promised in the product description on Amazon. The camera was not detected using the HDMI cable, and I found through Samsung Support that I had to attach the monitor via the USB-C port for the camera to work. Thankfully, my USB-C ports are Thunderbolt 3 (USB 4) so I was able to achieve 100Mhz. Sadly however, when trying to set up Windows Hello Facial Recognition Windows 11 came up with “We couldn’t find a camera compatible with Windows Hello Face”I contacted Samsung Support again today only to be told that it was not compatible with my PC which is brand new!In addition, when connecting your PC via USB-C rather than HDMI you lose several monitor settings including:AMD FreesyncHDR Tone MappingBlack LevelResponse TimeMinimum BrightnessThe picture quality is excellent, the sound from the built in speakers is awful, and Window’s Hello Facial Recognition did not work on my PC.I shall be retuning the monitor tomorrow.
