Works great on 800 mhz frequencies.

Both work and was told my modulation is stronger than with the stock rubber duck. However I almost returned because as one other review noted, the QC is not great. One is a super tight fit that requires some finagling to remove almost defeating the purpose of using bnc connectors. After some repeated installation and removal it seems to have cleared up a little and folks on my nearby repeater say it works no worse than the stock rubber duck.

I needed to replace a lost UHF antenna, and these work pretty good. Performance is nothing special but the price can't be beat. I'd say they work about as well as any small duck antenna. Nothing more, nothing less.

As far as RX/TX goes, these seem fine. I have been using them on a couple GMRS radios. They are a nice length, and are easy to carry around on a handheld radio.One of the antennas had some really rough machining on the inside of the bnc connector, which resulted in eventually snapping the base of the antenna. It still functions, but it isn't very secure when mounted on the bnc adapter on my radio. The other antenna fits onto the bnc adapter perfectly so I'm guessing it's a quality control issue.Overall, perfectly adequate antennas, assuming the bnc attachment point is machined correctly.
