Great dehumidifier. Strong for size.
This dehumidifier works great. I got it for my basement/grow tent. I initially got it just to bring the humidity down in my grown tent(was going to make a lung room around it) , But after trying it out, this little machine is handling my Entire Basement. It's Awesome. High humidity too (like 75%) I set it at 50% and let it run nonstop on high. Got it down within 36 hours. Great value. Easy to empty. It holds a surprising amount of water too. Definitely recommended. Noise level is also good. Sounds like a fan

good...so far
We are rv full timers on property living off grid. We had planned to build, but wood prices... Our factory propane heater is basically useless in single digit cold. We switched from a 'big buddy' to a Mr Heater blue flame this winter. What the he** does that have to do with a dehumidifier, you ask? Unvented propane heaters emit water vapor, LOTS of vapor. And our windows have the R-value of saran wrap. Also, the walls in closed closets get cold enough to 'sweat', a lot. After we tried an 'economically priced' electronic dehumidifier with 'limited' success, we decided to try this one. It IS GE, tho made in China, and a few year warranty was available. A short search will show the propensity for this style of dehumidifier to tend to start leaking freon 'just' after the oem warranty ends. As to the unit, it works. Being on solar, especially in winter's low output hours, we don't run high wattage items at night. We are still getting 2-3 quarts of water a day at about 70 degrees. Some talk of hot air being dispelled, but I would say lukewarm at worst, at our temps. Noise on high is relative to sensitivity, but running on high with a door almost closed, no closed doors with a cat in the house, between it and us, it's too quiet to hear without trying, and indistinguishable with any noise, speech, radio, tv, in the room. Certainly no worse than the desktop fan we use in the summer at night. We've just had it a couple weeks and it will only be used a few months a year, so we'll see how it holds up and update. so, a few weeks later and it's working fine. Even tho just running when the solar panels are getting some sun, it still takes out a couple quarts a day. A major consideration tho, is the effect on my asthma. We noticed last year when we started using the big buddy, and again with the new heater this year, I was coughing a lot from the humidity. Within a couple of days of starting to use this item, my coughing has all but disappeared, even at night when it is off. This is NOT medical advice, purely anecdotal. Well worth the price, if just for that. No more sucking on cough drops in bed!!

Very loud cricket noise
It works great, however it has a very loud cricket noise to it, even if I turn it off and back on, the noise starts easing back in, if you push in the face plate, it makes it dimmer but the dehumidifier hurts my ears, which probably is not what a dehumidifier should do, the fan speed did not matter either, it's just bad quality, had a general electric dehumidifier before, but this one is awful at around 170$ including tax, just to take out water, and hurt your ears, and your wallet.

Game changer!!!
Before i set up the hose, i was emptying the bucket 5 times a day. This machine really works overtime. This works 15-20x better than the ninesky, in terms of water captured. Highly recommend. Many of my friends amd family have this dehumidifier and we all love it.

Working great but arrived in a not perfect state
This thing works great and collects insane amounts of moisture from my bedroom room that I keep pretty cold with it hot outside which causes condensation on my walls but this put a stop to all that. It arrived looking beautiful and is working perfectly, however I was surprised to hear something rattling around inside while I was setting it up, it wasn’t the wheels that I had already gotten out and it was in the main case where you couldn’t see it but only hear it. So I took the back cover off and inside was laying A SCREW just rolling around freely inside, I guess someone was falling asleep on the assembly line and left one inside or maybe it fell out of something I don’t know, it was a frightening discovery to say the least. I ended just finding one of the unthreaded holes and just screwed it in and pretended like nothing happened and put the cover back on. It has been about a week now and still no problems so hopefully all is well. Was a little disappointed to see it didn’t come with a hose, a remote, or smartphone controls but oh well the smart dry mode makes up for it. Super easy to empty it and it’s not over or under sized and looks good anywhere you put it, it doesn’t put off any smells or anything. The bucket is a little tough to get out but imagine that something a little time will take care of. Also the continuous draining is awesome but the drain hose hookup is is on the side for some reason which is a little ugly but oh well it’s doing everything I need it to
