This door bell is excellent, does all the things that it’s more expensive friends do at a fraction of the price, highly recommend.I replaced my ring doorbell as I was sick of paying for subscription. This just exactly the same job but half the price and no subscription. Definitely recommend.It’s easy to install, the app is very intuitive and the video reproduction is very clear. Sound quality is crisp and with volume control to the video doorbell speaker you can be sure your caller will hear your responses.

First class doorbell, does exactly what it needs to do without the monthly subscription charge you get with other costlier suppliers. Straightforward to install, both vision and sound are very clear. Great VFM would definitely recommend this product.

Generally very pleased with this doorbell camera. The picture quality is excellent both day and night and the separate wireless sounder is very useful and handy to be able to take into the back garden. It has adjustable volume and can be quite loud if needed.The camera appears to use a PIR sensor to detect callers and these are not so sensitive when people walk directly towards them. This means that the camera may not activate until the caller is very close such that only half of their face is visible or they could even be out of shot if the camera is too far away from the door. I will be trying a different position for mine. The camera has an internal rechargeable battery, which the manufacturer claims can last several months between charges. The initial charge took an encouragingly long time - hinting at a large capacity battery, but after being in use for a week the app shows the battery to be down to 40% charge. This may not be accurate and also having swallows nesting in the porch that frequently activate the camera certainly would not help!! Also rechargeable batteries seem to need a couple of charges from new before they reach their full capacity. The camera housing appears to be good quality plastic with no indication that it would not be weather proof, although ours is in a sheltered porch. The product looks very smart and is a clear deterrent to any dodgy callers!Edit: Has now been in use for a month and only recently needed an overnight recharge. Performance has been slightly improved by angling the camera slightly but it is still a bit slow in starting to record. This could well be because it is sited in a porch which reduces it's field of view somewhat. Also the app seems to be quite slow to connect and I don't think this is due to any wifi problems.Update: Battery lasting well! Looks like it will be 3-4 weeks between charges.

I'm late to the whole doorbell camera party thing. Several friends and relatives have them, but they have the ones from the big brands, which cost more than I was willing to pay for something that I didn't think I really needed. Plus I was put off by the idea of an ongoing subscription.Then two different people, independent of each other, recommended this one to me. I was dubious. It seemed too cheap. But it was cheap enough that I decided to give it a go.The instructions were simple (a little too simple) and it was easy enough to set up. It charged quicker than I expected. The sticky pads that came with it are ridiculously strong, so it was simple to fit it to the side of the front door. It wasn't a lot of hassle to install the app and sign up, and it picked up the unit straight away.I haven't signed up for the subscription. Without one, it records 6 seconds when the motion detector kicks in, or when someone rings the doorbell. It can also take an SD card; a couple of weeks after putting up the doorbell I found a card in a drawer so fitted it. That gives plenty of storage for keeping recorded clips.Battery life is huge. I've had this up for around 8 weeks and the battery is still around 70%.The only slight issue I have is with the motion detector: there are a couple of large trees about 20m from my front door, and when it's windy, these can trigger the motion detector. I live at the top of a big hill and it's often windy; I can't really blame it on the unit or software. It only takes a couple of seconds to delete the recordings.I haven't yet tried the voice changing option, so can't comment on that. Also can't comment on the subscription service, as I haven't used it.The separate chime unit is small but plenty loud enough. Very handy when I'm in the garden. It does come with a sticky pad attached so you could mount it somewhere, but I haven't bothered.Overall I'm very happy with it. Easy to use and set up and lots of features. Can't believe how good it is for the price. Highly recommended.
