I have had my eye on this case for months. Not because of it's glowing reviews, breathtaking design, or stellar protection capabilities - but because it's literally the only option available on the market in terms of protective cases specifically molded to fit the 2023 released HP Envy 16. I was turned off from purchasing it by the large number of reviews that stated the bottom piece did not fit properly. I noticed a small number of positive reviews that stated the bottom piece fit fine. I also noticed that most of the positive reviews had purchased the clear variant. Based on this, and the fact that there are ZERO other options available, took a gamble and purchased the clear variant.The verdict is in: it fits. Snug and secure. This was a nice surprise considering I fully expected it not to. I attached some photos. It isn't flashy, and I doubt it would offer much in terms of extra protection in the event of a fall or drop, but if you're just looking for something to protect from scuffs, scratches, and your laptop getting dirty, this will do. The laptop opens and closes without any interference from the case. As an added bonus it has raised feet near the fans to allow a little extra airflow to come in.I'm giving 5 stars for this clear variant because it was as described and worked correctly for me. I can't offer an explanation as to why they are still sending out folks versions that don't fit, they should really update the dimensions and produce them properly. so just don't plan on getting a fancy color and you'll be ok.For reference my laptop is a 2023 model and the model number is 16-h1023dx

Pour mon hp envy 16, 2023 h-1020ca, le dessus fait très bien mais le dessous, il ne fait pas, très décu.

Ho preso questa coover rigida perchè il mio hp envy 16-h0795ng che è completamente in alluminio e molto delicato.La coover calza così bene che neanche si vede, oltretutto ha due piedini rialzabili che aumenta la comodità d'uso ed il raffreddamento, assorbe bene gli urti.Rimangono scoperti solo gli spigoli posteriori quando è chiuso.Sono soddisfatto.

Amazon: pull this item!It’s way past high time this item be taken out of inventory. But will that ever happen? I doubt it. Because Amazon and the manufacturers of these defective “$30+ for $1 worth of plastic” products are most likely pocketing tons of cash on this defective / poorly designed garbage because more people today don’t take the time to return it.Heading to UPS right now to drop it off and get my money back.
