I bought this cream on a lark one day, thought it would be a nice spread. Left it in the cupboard for a few weeks, then decided to open and try it. Wow, what a mistake. First, the foil "protecting" the product slipped off as soon as I twisted the container. Second, the smell of the cream was artificial to the point of smelling like a cleaning chemical. Third, despite the smell, I thought that I should be openminded and ingest some of this cream. Big mistake. I can't describe the taste of this cream other to say, spare your taste buds. I don't know if I am a neanderthal who can't appreciate the fine things in life, but this spread should not be ingested. The smell, the broken foil seal, the taste...wow, an intense flavor-experience, but for all of the wrong reasons. I wish I could say something nice about this product. I guess their packaging is cute?

The package was sealed when it arrived but the taste is awful, I have tasted this brand of product before in the individual packets and it was delightful but this definitely has something wrong with this batch, there is an awful taste in it and leaves a bad aftertaste, almost like a chemical taste. We are not able to eat it because of the taste.

Delicious and Worth the HypeI grabbed this pistachio cream to try making those viral pistachio chocolate bars everyone’s been raving about, and it was a great choice! The flavor is rich and creamy with just the right nuttiness. It worked perfectly in the recipe, and I may or may not have eaten a few spoonfuls straight from the jar. It’s a little pricey for the size, but the quality makes it worth it. Perfect for baking or just indulging!

Very runny! Got dripped on and had to eat with plate very close to my face. Taste is ok. But others are better.

This is an edit of the first review at the bottom:After reading my first review, which was one star, the company contacted me and was kind enough to send me a new jar of unsweetened pistachio butter. Frankly, I was afraid to open it after how bad the first jar was and waited several days before doing so. I just opened it a little while ago and can only say that it smells and tastes nothing like the first jar that I received. This jar tastes like freshly ground pistachios. It's great. My only complaint (and the reason for four stars instead of five), is that it isn't smooth, but has a lot of little nut bits in it. The first jar that smelled and tasted bad was smooth, which is what I need for the pistachio liqueur I want to make. When I made my own pistachio paste for the liqueur it was a lot of work and I was unable to get it as smooth as I wanted, but the liqueur (I got the recipe on YouTube) is so good that my husband and I drank it anyway, so I wouldn't let the nut bits in this pistachio butter stop me from making it again. And the nut bits in Peppertux Farms pistachio butter are smaller than what I ended up with when I ground my own anyway. I also intend to use it to make pistachio ganache for truffles. It is expensive, but pistachios are expensive and it saves a lot of work having to make it yourself.First review:I don't know if I received a bad jar or what, but this tasted absolutely terrible. It smelled bad, too. Somewhat like grass and nothing at all like pistachios. I could detect no pistachio taste at all. I question whether this was even made with pistachios. I bought this to make pistachio liqueur, which I've made before, but I wanted to avoid all the extra work of blanching the pistachios and popping them out of their skins before grinding them to a paste. This pistachio butter didn't smell or taste anything like what I've made with real pistachios.Judging by the positive reviews (which is why I bought it), I can only think that I received a bad jar, but I don't know. I would not recommend it.
