It tastes so rich, as in tamarind rich. Provides the perfect amount of sour with that dark depth that tamarind provides..I used it to make pad thai sauce, and I am excited to put it in sinigang (sour filipino soup) to see how it turns out. Since i try to avoid many artificial ingredients, I hardly buy premade sauce or powders anymore, so this was a lifesaver.

I’ve never used tamarind paste before, but one of my favorite tv chefs recommended it in a Thai dish. I couldn’t find it in the store so decided to order it. It has a very strong taste to it but it made my Pad thai absolutely delicious and much more flavorful. I’m very happy with this.

Be careful when cooking with this ingredient. It is too concentrated and makes the dish very sour and black. I suggest controlling the quantity. I had to throw away the first batch of pad thai i made because this ruined the sauce for being too sour and black. The recipe i usually follow calls for 8 tbsp of tamarins paste. I only put 3 and its still way too sour.

Ordered this to recreate Tamarind and Mezcal cocktails. Perfect! Not sweet at all so you can add simple syrup if you choose to. Great quality and flavor.
