Liberty 300 works very well so far
This is my first robotic cleaner, so I have no basis for comparison. I have been to several pools where the cleaner has the long tail and just stays in the pool, which seems lame. The Liberty 300 is extremely simple to use - just charge it for a few hours, turn it on and huck it into the pool. It cleans for about an hour and usually gets all the visible debris. I really like that its easy to grab out of the pool when its done so you don't have to look at it when its not working. Based on what is in the filter box, it does a really nice job of grabbing both large and fine debris. We have tried the shaker to summon it and it has never worked. no big deal as its easy to use the hook or just jump in and grab it. It parks itself at the edge when it finishes its cleaning cycle. Climbs the walls well even in the 8 ft deep end. The main part of our pool is 17 X38 (rectangle) and one cycle gets it completely clean.I have never used it in the spa because that seems like its not going to work well. I will say that it doesn't make it up our steps very often and it stops working when it hits the tanning ledge, presumably because its too shallow and shuts down when it senses that it is no longer submerged.Overall, we are pretty happy with it so far.

Greatest Pool Vacuum Ever!!
This is the best pool vacuum. It is so easy to charge and so easy to use. Just drop it into the pool and 90 minutes later the pool is completely clean. It is easy to retrieve from the pool, using the retrieving hook. It is also very easy to clean the vacuum filter.

Works well, misses some fine particles
Overall, I am happy with the vacuum. It charges quickly, travels along the walls and floor, and is easy to clean. We chose this model because we didn’t want a cord running through the pool, which has been nice. A few things we have noticed: we have a sun shelf and the vacuum has flipped and become stranded (it’s not super shallow- about a foot of water). Our pool is new and there is a lot of sand around our patio as we wait for the grass to grow, so we tend to get a lot of sand/dirt in the pool from kids and dogs. The vacuum does have some difficulty picking up the fine sand. I know they make some fine filters, so I’ve thought about looking into those but have yet to purchase them.

Works
This works well, but doesn’t stay charged long enough to clean the whole pool.

great cleaner
works as advertised, it does come all the way up pool walls and gets the waterline, also does get my stairs somewhat as it works when submerged, otherwise it would definitely get the stairs completely. We no longer slip on bottom of pool. This cleaner has the brush which is a game changer. Put the old Polaris away for now. Love this cleaner so far, pool is staying cleaner.

Not recommended for pools with a main drain in the deep end
I do not recommend the Liberty Dolphin 300 for in-ground pools with a main drain like mine. In my experience, the Dolphin consistently got hung up on the main drain, and I had to lay on the diving board, stretched out with a pool pole fitted with the provided hook in my hand to dislodge the Dolphin. It never got though a full charge or cleaning cycle before hanging up. The manufacturer first recommended turning off the filter system completely - I turned off the main drain instead - and it did not help. Then, second, the manufacturer recommended attaching some sort of ramp on the main drain cover to prevent the Dolphin from getting stuck. I have the code-required main drain cover that prevents swimmers from being held under water by suction from the main drain, and I am not going to modify or attach anything to it for fear that it would potentially endanger swimmers in my pool. I have returned this unit to the distributor. The Dolphin itself appears to be well made, and, in my experience, it was easy to operate except for my problem as described above, so it was a shame that the manufacturer had no practical, workable solution in my case. Amazon arranged for the Dolphin to be returned to the manufacturer at no cost to me by providing a UPS shipping sticker that will be affixed to the box. To get the free shipping, it must be returned in the original box to the local attended UPS drop-off, which in my case is the UPS Store. Now I guess I have to rebuild my Polaris after all.

Excellent pool vacuum
Holy smokes this thing is amazing! Works awesome, it's almost like a set it and forget it which is like most vacuums I guess, but this one is just to the next level. Clean our pool and under an hour and it was just a shock to go out and see it nice and clean. Although it's more or less winter time now, and I won't be running it nearly as much, it's nice to know I have such a workhorse at my ready. It's a nice appearance, your standard black and teal blue

One month in, still works
Using and cleaning this is within reasonable effort. Does a good job collecting assorted debris and the filter is easy to remove and clean. While this isn't listed as a waterline cleaner, while cleaning the sidewalls it does spend some time at the waterline.I love the magnetic charging connection, and the waterproof rating means I can charge the unit outdoors, keeps the drips outside where it's convenient.
