Metal. vs composite. I have several of the RAM mount arms made from the latter material, and I like both materials, you choose what better suits your needs from a weight standpoint. Resin is obviously lighter, but these I just bought are heftier in weight, which can be a bonus. This is the long version 6.03125”. It adjusts easily, very durable, and is quite versatile. Good price too.

I used this as part of a phone mount in my semi truck it is made of metal and very sturdy

This was much cheaper than buying directly from RAM and the quality is just as good. The socket size matches perfectly and it holds tight in rough conditions (I use it on a cessna yoke)

Worked well to bring phone holder up higher. I don’t have to look so far down like before. The material looks and feels high quality.
