In principle a great idea when you don’t have an outside tap. But I’m practice it’s flawed as we can not get a good enough seal that when pressure from a hose makes water spray all over the kitchen sink and walls

Well made, good quality but for my bathroom tap it couldn't tighten enough so I superglued a thick rubber washer to the part that locks down onto the top of the tap and now it works well with no leaks.

The tap could not go deep enough to make a proper seal, it was missing a couple mm. Managed to bodge it by going slightly diagnal but had to cover the tap with a bag as it was squirting water still, but got what needed to be done but wont be using it again. The hole should be wider for a tap to go straight through but its not and wont go further.

Fits perfectly with no leaks, better than the hozelock

I don't want to be too harsh because I went cheap and bought this to connect a hozelock hoze to a kitchen mixer tap (because we don't have an outside tap). The reality is that if you buy generic branded items like this, you're likely to be disappointed.The mechanism fits very well to a kitchen mixer tap, but that's kind of where the success ends. The locking mechanism at the bottom simply doesn't lock up to the hoze properly (and in fairness, if you're mixing brands and buying generic parts, you shouldn't expect it to really). The parts lock up but as soon as your turn the water on, you're going to get sprays and leaks - and the higher the pressure, the more likely this item is just going to pop the hoze part off.Unfortunately, you buy cheap and you buy twice. Just find the tap mixer part for whatever brand hoze you've got and pay the (extortionate) price they're asking - unless you don't mind getting very, very wet.
