Expensive but delicious
I love it!! Biltong and jerky in general is something that’s always easy for me to eat. It’s well seasoned but doesn’t over power the taste of the meat. And I LOVE the marbling in almost every piece. The only complaint I have is the price, so this is more so a treat. Stryve is a little more affordable and tasty in a different way. Still highly recommend both!

This biltong is the REAL DEAL
Bledie Lekker is the real deal. This is classic, quality biltong. It is a true blessing this company exists and provides the REAL DEAL. I've tried a lot of 'biltong' from health food stores that was fake. I thought I'd never get the real thing outside of Africa. Here we are! Bledie Lekker brings African biltong to YOU--- no matter where you are. <3

Authentic Biltong
I lived in South Africa for a year, and this is authentic biltong other than being beef instead of Springbok. Good flavor, texture, and balance of meat and fat.

Taste of home 🇿🇦
These were really good. We have gotten biltong from a few online shops. A few were good but super pricey, and then those that are priced more affordable, it’s an effort and that’s all.But “Blerrie lekker Biltong” really brought the taste of home back to us! Will definitely be ordering again soon

Extremely salty
Wanted to like this but it was extremely salty to the point where it took away the actual flavor.

Better than expected
As a South Africa. Living in America I was expecting the usual jerky meat and not actual biltong. It exceeded my expectations. It’s still not real biltong, but as a mass produced meat product it’s probably as close to tasting like real biltong as you can buy online. I would purchase this product again

Not quite perfect but quite good nonetheless
I'm of mixed mind about this biltong. Definitely 4.5 stars if that was possible. It is definitely the best I've found in the US. It is lean and tasty although for some reason the seasoning doesn't seem quite right. Perhaps that is because I've grown used to the style of biltong I've been eating in the UK. Still, like I wrote, this is the best I've found in the US so I'll swallow (pun intended) the cost and order it when I get the urge.

Artifical preservatives
I was disappointed to find Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Bicarbonate and Potassium Nitrate listed on the label when I received the package. True biltong, developed in the 1600s by the Dutch in South Africa, according to local traditions, is preserved with salt, vinegar and spices. Not artificial preservative and not even saltpetre (potassium nitrate). That's a real off-putting factor for me. That said, the taste is alright, but nothing special, lacking in spice flavour, and not worth the intake of preservatives. Had I only looked at the various packet sizes available, I would have noticed the preservatives, as they were not listed prominently. Food items are not returnable, so this one's on me as I compost the remains of the bag. Back to Brooklyn for my biltong.
