Does not work like I thought. And really does not keep a running memory of the previous measurements

This device is very small and light - you could probably lose it in a pocket. More practically, I have big hands, and sometimes found it a little tricky to operate this device because it’s that small. It does work very well, but I sometimes misunderstood the results until I read the manual more carefully.My primary use for this device is measuring the distance between two objects that are easily disturbed. When the they are far enough apart, you can simply place the device between them to get a measurement. Sometimes they are too close together to fit the device between them, and then the Pythagoras function that calculates the lengths of the short sides by measuring an angle and the long side provides a very good solution. In this situation the measurement I want is short - in the 2” (5cm) range, and I have considerable difficulty handling-holding the device sufficiently motionless to get reliable measurements. That’s not a defect in the device, so I would really like to have a tripod mount integrated into this device. In the meanwhile I placed a small piece of adhesive magnetic strip, and that works fine.At its $20 price point I consider this device unbeatable.Other features I would find useful, in order of importance, are- a tripod mount, as mentioned above;- a small memory;- green laser for improved visibility outdoors.I would be interested in a product with these additional features; please let me know when/if you offer one.

Too small

It is very small, hard to hold. Accuracy is good only when you can point at 90 degrees

I really like this little rig. I have used a couple of other laser devices. Usually there is a delay in the reading, as if it cannot be found. This one is instant. I thought that not having a beep when it caught was a problem, but it is not, because as soon as you press the button it has the measurement.Another bonus is that it is rechargeable, and the battery last for quite a while. Granted I do not generally use it for an extended time, just three or for measurements, and then move on to the next job, but the charge lasts for almost two weeks.It is very small, making it easy to carry. Easy to lose if not careful. But with the included lanyard it is also easy to find.I have checked it against a tape many times and found it to be right on the money. I cannot comment on the fancy features as I only use it for direct measurements, but it gets those even in direct sunlight.If you are curious about this little guy like I was, go ahead and get it. It works.

Very nice. Didn’t do the indirect measurements like I was hoping but it worked pretty good. Especially inside.
