Does a good job. Much better than the plastic alternative, which lasted a few uses. Easy to clean and sturdy. Worth the price.

Good for slicing those eggs
I bought this as a present for my mother. Do I know why she put an egg slicer on her birthday list? (Other than the fact she wanted an egg slicer..) No. But the only other thing she had on her list was a torch, so who am I to argue with her present choices? Anyway, I digress. A couple of days after her birthday she sent me a picture of an egg, pleasantly sliced, cleanly cut. Was this egg going in a sandwich? A salad? Who knows. All I know is that this egg slicer made my mum happy, and for that I give it five stars.

Does the job for eggs but not much else
This is perfect for slicing boiled eggs, but pretty useless for some of the other items mentioned in the description such as bananas and strawberries. If they are too firm it won't cut through them, and too soft it just squashes them.The quality is reasonable for the cost, but it's not really heavy duty and I doubt it will last too long. However, for occasional use for slicing boiled eggs only it is fine.
