A great example of filmmaking.
How it is possible to produce a film literally from one single scene throughout the film has got be something of genius.I watched this film about 15 or twenty years ago and it just stuck in my mind. I am not a film buff by any imagination, but it was always there in my mind as something unique. For whatever reason I noticed this on Amazon and felt it would be great to watch it again. In my view this still remains a classical piece of film making.I really would recommend this as something different.

The greatest film ever made about a phone booth
I recently rented out Phone Booth, after seeing Colin Farrell in his most recent film, S.W.A.T, and was impressed with it. The majority of the film takes place in, as you might guess, a phone booth, where Farrell is trapped, after picking up the phone to a madman, aiming at him with a sniper. The plot is basically that if Farrell hangs up, he gets shot. The madman uses his power over him to get Farrell to confess several things, such as his affair over his wife, and also to pay him back for an earlier run-in.The film seems action packed, which on retrospect is strange, considering 90 minutes of this film is Farrell inside a phone booth. An excellent job is done of retaining the viewer's attention, and making the story believable, and another powerful performance from potentially the number one actor in the film industry at the moment. Its only slight failing is its longevity. I rented this film out, and returned it after seeing it, and didnt feel as if I wanted to see it again. I definitely enjoyed it, but because the premise is so simple, I knew the story and remembered most of it, and I didnt need to see it again, so I actually wouldn't buy it now, but if you havent seen it, or if it makes you want to see it over and over again, then definitely buy it.

Edge-of-seat film
Phonebooth is a highly original film. It starts with a series of New York street scenes, and then moves to whizz-kid wheeler-dealer networker Colin Farrell conducting business on the street. At a point during this he passes a public phone which starts to ring. After some indecision he answers it, only to find himself talking to a psychopath who threatens to shoot him if he terminates the call, and makes it obvious that he can carry out this threat. You won't stop watching as the tension builds to the unexpected ending.
