Easy to install, OHCI drivers were found immediately and recognised this as a TI chipset so it should be good for legacy audio interfaces. It is currently syncing my old ipod.

My goal:Extracting clips from my old Camcorder (a Sony DCR-TRV147E) via i.LINK port.I've never properly used i.LINK (aka Firewire) before, and my PC was not equipped. I went down a research rabbit-hole, but in the end gambled on this PCI Card because the price was reasonable (£18.99) & also included a cable. I'm glad to say that the gamble paid off, and that I'm glad I didn't go for one of those cheaper "USB to Firewire" adaptors - they do not work.Now, despite the box saying that this is the best "PCI Express wireless card" in China, it actually was the Firewire card I needed. It box contained the PCI Card, Firewire cable and a spare PCI bracket. To power the device I had to order a molex-to-sata cable (female molex to male SATA) separately.Initially my PC didn't see the device until I changed the PCI slot I was using. Windows stated the device was using the "Texas Instruments" chipset, but I wasn't seeing any video via i.LINK. Following a very handy guide (Google "studio1productions firewire") I installed a legacy driver, and before I knew it, my Camcorder was picked up by Window 10.I used a copy of Sony Vegas Pro 11 to extract the clips (available on archive.org) but you can also use an application like WinDV. After that, it was just the process of playing all tapes and capturing the footage. Definitely worth the investment if you have an old Camcorder that has not been backed up yet - they're not getting any younger.

I bought this to replace a failed card that took the mothboard with it when it died.Machine is a high spec deign machine running Windows 7 which needs a firewire link for downloading videos.On booting the device, quickly downloaded the Texas Instruments compatible driver and device works like a dream.I'm guessing Windows 10 /11 should work fine as its a standard certified driver that it uses.

I was able to connect it to a DV camcorder without issues but the card caused crashes for me on Windows 10, particularly whenever the PC was woken up from sleep this caused a hard crash. Not sure if it is any better on any other OS but the description says it is compatible with Windows 10. The included cable also quickly began to have connection issues so I had to use my own one.

I used this to connect my old camcorder to some mini DV software. It works OK. I am not sure if it is the fault of the controller (probably not) or some other issue, but often the camcorder will disconnect and I'll have to turn it off / plug it in again to get it to work again.Anyway if you have an old camcorder, this card is what you need.

Excelente, funciona bien con windows 11 y una interface Focusrite Saffire Pro.Sin problema alguno.

After some trouble shooting and reading, I got mine to work great! As one of the other helpful reviews mentioned, I connected the molex power and closed the fold out display on my Cannon GL1 and voila! I gotYou capture! I'm very impressed with the quality as well! My capture PC is running windows 10.
