Didn't like this particular brand
I found this particular brand of masking fluid awful. After applying it to watercolour paper for around 20 mins whilst applying a wash it stuck like glue! As I gently rubbed it off the paper it pulled a layer of paper away with it ruining my painting. I found the additional nozzles were a waste of time. They were so small that after use they are impossible to clean as the masking fluid couldn't be rinsed out of them! A complete waste of money. I was so disappointed with it that I just threw it in the bin, spare nozzles and all!

Sticks to hard
I've used it a few times and it rips my paper when I try to remove it. Ruined a commission.

Seriously, do not buy this.
I have used many masking fluids over the years but thought I would try the Daniel Smith one because I like the watercolours. I have used it today, the masking has been on very expensive Somerset paper for only an hour. I’m finding that the the fluid is virtually impossible to remove not with a finger or an eraser. Where I have managed to remove tiny bits it leaves a yellow stain. It has completely ruined my painting. The instructions are lacking, saying no need to squeeze the bottle it works through capillary action. No it doesn’t. It produces lots of bubbles and is very thin, which might be why it is hard to remove, it’s thin enough to sink into the paper fibres. Dreadful waste of money and my time. Stay away from this stuff.

impossible to use!!!
Awful. I found the same as most other reviewers... the instructions advise you NOT to shake or squeeze the bottle... but just to ‘let it flow’. Well, it DIDN’T flow, so I HAD to squeeze and either got air bubbles or a rush of very thin liquid. Frustrated, I took the entire top off to inspect the contents of the bottle, and to see if I could use it with a ruling pen (the applicator nozzles were useless) - but the contents were as thick as a ‘putty rubber’ with a little of what looked like separated oil in the bottom. Totally unusable and a complete waste of money. By the way - my painting was ruined too.
