Review after extensive use
Overall a great Knife and companion. This knife I can trust in to allow me to do what’s needed. I’ve felled small trees using nothing but a flint to baton and the Garberg. Hundreds of good size bits of bamboo. Plaster board. It’s opened maybe 50 coconuts. I now use this knife like a machete. It’s not 100% invincible, I mean dings are visible where it’s been bashed with stones to baton. Improper use I hear you say? I needed to do it, this knife did it no problem no complaints, perfect every time. I now use it where possible instead of machete for chopping in confined forest situations where swinging a larger implement is difficult. Uses less energy. If i ever do manage to break it, I’ll buy another👍I have many knives but this has trumped the others inc my leather man. This is some tough, sharp metal with a handle which is fine unless your hands are ‘fairy’ soft.Just grip it hard when using the pummel, you don’t want your hand to slip..! That’s said 2 or 3 knocks and your coconut opens/rock cracks takes more blows with other larger knives/tools

Very good knife.
Bought this to replace my Moraniv Companion. I looked at several reviews on line and the one by Paul Kirtley on YouTube was the final decider. If it's good enough for him, it'll well do for me! It is razor sharp from the box! Heavier than my Companion, but then it is thicker. I went for the stainless steel version because I spend a lot of time outdoors and carbon steel tends to rust easily if continuously wet for several days. Well balanced and the construction is as expected from Moraniv. I've used it in the woods for battening and carving and it's really good. Excellent service form this seller. Arrived on time and well packaged.

Quality knife and the sheath is a class act also.
This knife is spot on and ideal for camp. Whether you are making a billy can support or feather sticks or even baton log splitting it works great. The surprise is the quality of the leather sheath. A real quality item made of thick leather that makes this knife and sheath combo the best Mora set in my opinion. Now I have a whetstone mirror edge, this thing is silly sharp and so far keeps the edge well. The only thing I’d like to see is the option of a hardwood handle although the black one on it seems indestructible.

Buy one .
Best bushcraft blade ever for the price !!! Been after this for a long time and was over due a new mora as I use a rat tang wanted a full tang blade for heavy work out doors it fits well in my lg hand but not like the other rubber handles which are better but in all the best of mora for a cheap price.

Very Impressive!
Very impressive! Knife is very very sharp out the box and the bevel on the blade makes for a very clean sharpening expeirience (on a whetstone). Full tang, very durable and FANTASTIC quality sheathe.

Dodgy handle ergonomics; good blade
I have a major problem with this knife; its the handle. When I hold it in a safe or basic grip it is not secure; there is a lot of play almost no matter how tight I hold it. When I hold an entry grade mora or a top quality knife like a Ray Mears custom knife it feels absolutely secure (even just using my index and middle finger joints to squeeze) and the cuts I make are very strong. This handle allows too much play and the angle falls back from perpendicular, straining my wrist and little finger and reducing the force I can apply to the cut. That's not good as far as I can tell. My hands are a bit bigger than average but as I say I do not have this issue with other handles. The spine of the blade is almost straight meaning the blade is close to tanto in style although there is a shallow swedge. The blade is extremely sharp. It has a certain brutality to it enhanced by the unpolished spine and pommel tang. Indeed advice is to file the latter down a little as its destructive to other kit rubbing against it. The blade seems top notch - if not pretty.Have not used it properly in the field but quite unsure about this product. I may return it. If not I will report again. The leather sheath option is about £15 more. That is probably fair but no bargain and there are bespoke options out there.Hmmh!

Heavy blade
Almost unwieldy blade. Very thick blade with the Scandi-grind (deep v-shaped blade) finish makes it a bit unsuitable for fine work. Had to work on my blade with a water stone to remove the machine-tool marks and make it a smoother cut. The leather sheath isn't much cop: the rivet holding the belt loop closed fell apart within days.Probably only suitable for rough outdoors work. Would recommend buying the version with the plastic sheath and not the leather one if you're going for a Mora
