StihlBG86CE Ergo Start Petrol Blower - Orange

I bought this to replace an old Dynamac, which although it had given many years of service was beginning to fail and made my clothes smell of two stroke mix every time I used it. This Stihl blower is everything I hoped it would be. Powerful and light, starts first time and does the job perfectly. Reasonable priced as well. Very pleased.

For some years suffered with heavy consistent leaf coverage and tried the following cheaper leaf blowers, including battery bosch and electric blowers, including suction type. None were effective, really, unless you spent hours. Surrendered then returned to a soft rake and leaf pick ups, resulting in a patchy and ruined lawn, meaning every year have to heavily overseed, which meant about 1% seed germinated. Long background: bought this petrol high end blower and life so much easier. Blows wet leaves with ease, blow them on to the path and then collect. I hope the item lasts. I have used it weeks apart and starts after a few pulls, so no complaints there. If i could thank somebidy at the company i would, certainly helped resolve a long standing problem. If you can afford it, get it. If i get 5 years trouble free, i will be thrilled.

An excellent and well made product but you are unable to briefly turn off as when it is running it is blowing - so much good work is undone when you pause as the blower simply continues to blow. I am sure I will get used to it but a month on it still annoys me - maybe a bypass gate would be a logical step on the next generation. Also it is for right hand use only as any attempt to use your left hand for difficult corners sucks in your trouser leg briefly as the air intake is on the right - not a big problem but a downward or upward air intake would make it so much friendlier to use. OK one more thing - when pull starting it makes sense to place one's foot (shoe) under the unit and pull against your foot - but you cannot as the toe aperture under the unit is tiny and you could not get any foot or shoe in. It would just be so professional if you could place a foot in the toehold and pull against it.

Bought this after a recommendation from a gardener in the local park . We have a lot of leaves and the electric blower I had was ineffective . This machine does what it is asked to do . Powerful and efficient . It has saved me a lot of time .Had to do some research to find a supplier of the Stihl two stroke fuel but from my research it is worth getting it . Safer and easier than mixing your own . From what I understand the mix has a good shelf life and can be left in the machine . It was simple to assemble

Easy to set up and use and a quality Stihl product. Bought a couple of months back for reduced price and having just used it for first time yesterday can confirm that it picks up even very wet leaves quite well. Not too heavy to carry but you may want to go for a backpack version if you have a very large area to clear as this handheld version will start getting heavy after 45mins or longer. Very pleased.

Doesn't work if the tank is less than 60% full

This blower is faulty , when we saw box it looks as if it’s been returned befor. Please arrange collection.
