Works great
I bought this to treat a thrip infestation and it also got rid of my fungus gnat problem! Worked really well. I now use it as a preventative and not just a treatment. Leaves a slightly sticky residue but i can live with that. (Used on tropical houseplants from alocasias to caladiums)

Great product
I have a 30+ houseplant collection that had a terrible thrip infestation. Some plants were definitely dying. One application of this and I can't find a single live thrip anywhere, all thrips that were on the leaves were dead within about 10 minutes. I have purchased another two bottles to repeat the treatment just incase. Personally I sprayed the soil as well as it says it works on eggs and larvae also. A few live larvae still crawling around in the soil a few days later but that's why I'm going to treat them again to make sure the lifecycle is fully interrupted. One bottle treated 10+ plants and some are large trees. Would recommend!

Wish I'd tried this sooner
Been battling with thrips for almost a year, and finally, this seems to have done the trick. Have previously tried a combination of neem oil, horticultural soap, orius beatles, quaratining... and they still kept coming back. This seems to have done the trick; have sprayed down all plants (stems, foliage and soil), and haven't seen any thrips or new damage since. There was a very slight chemical smell when applied (reminded me of headlice treatment) - can easily avoid this though by spraying and then leaving the room.Appreciate that some people would rather not use chemicals, but after trying several natural options I was just desperate to get rid of my thrips

Useful spray using plant derived substances.
I have found this spray completely effective on three different bugs: scale insect, black fly on my cherries and leaf roller caterpillar on my citrus fruit. I am puzzled as to why others have found it did not work as for the scale insect and black fly I only applied it twice, after which the bush and small tree were totally clear. I’m still treating the leaf roller, which has had two sprays after which I’m waiting to see if there are more.. I use this because it has organic certification, though not from the Soil Association, but even so I would always leave any fruit a good length of time before consuming, 4-6 weeks for the citrus. With the cherry, when the black fly had gone I spray watered the tree, rinsing the small green cherries.

Meh! I'd buy a better one next time.
This stuff is ok. It kills the aphids it touches. However it doesn't provide a long term solution because pretty much as soon as it dries your plants are no longer protected. The aphids return and you have to keep spraying (every two days in my case) which just can't be good for the plant.Do yourself a favour and buy a long lasting bug spray. Not this one

No more thrips and my plants look perked-up and revitalised!
I recently realised the reason a lot of my plants had started withering was due to thrips! The situation was so far gone I thought I might have to lose all my plants and start again from scratch! After trying natural home made remedies such as neem oil/soap mixture which destroyed a lot of the foliage of my poor plants I decided to look for something stronger. The active ingredient in this product is Pyrethrins, naturally occurring in chrysanthemum flowers. The great thing is that after a couple of weeks the pyrethrin organically breaks down, with no continued toxic effect in the environment. This makes me feel so much better because after all I don't want to harm bees and spiders (or anything else!) in the future when I repot and throw old potting soil out into the back yard.I have finished the bottle, which was one/two applications on 30 plants, and so far the situation looks good and my plants look much happier after having the life sucked out of them by thrips! No damage to foliage, in fact it also contains an oil which left the leaves looking lovely and shiny!I will be purchasing again just incase anything else crops up!

Severe Scale Bug Problem solved in a week!
I recently discovered a scale problem on one of my palms. It had progressed quite seriously and I was starting to loose branches each day.I followed the advice of a friend and pruned and wiped the entire plant down with alcohol but within a day they seemed to be back. After 3 sprays across a week this seems to have done the miraculous and restored my plant back to health.Would highly recommend.
