Excellent performance!
I live in Kent where we have had a hosepipe ban for over a month now.I was concerned about how effective this would be after reading some of the reviews, because I have a 6m extension hose on my Kaercher K4.I attached the filter end to a brick with cable ties and sunk it to the the bottom of one of our 100l water butts, before attaching the hose to the K4. I sucked the water up and covered the end with my thumb before attaching it to the machine.Within a second or two the machine had come up to pressure and it was ready to use.I washed one car with it and the machine seemed to prefer the water butt to mains pressure. To wash a Ford puma, with two rinses used about 30l. By using rainwater from a water butt, I also got nice, soft water to wash our cars with, which is another advantage.I cannot fault this product and I will never go back to washing our cars with mains water. If you like to have clean cars, this is a must have!

Good product.
Excellent. I don't have easy access to a hose connection, so the Suction Hose has successfully bridged the gap, using the Karcher pressure water with a portable water container.

Good quality hose
Setting up the suction hose not straight forward.

If you have half a brain, it's worth every penny.
This is a very expensive piece of pipe but it does in fact need that non return valve to make it work sufficiently. I struggle to see and also struggle to deal with the amount of "special" people on these reviews. I mean come on people? It's common sense that for a pipe to flow water it must not have any air in the pipe. But the Karcher pressure washer pretty much self primes. I literally filled the pipe with water attached the end to the pressure washer (without loosing water) and then placed the valve end into the water butt. Then two pulls of the trigger and bam it had full pressure!! Completely free water and it's works soo well!! After a while of using it from (Unfilteted) rainwater the water pressure dropped. It was the internal filter in the pressure washer, this is the only downside, but again this is user error. So please if you have half a brain and are probably somebody that doesn't pen push during the day do indeed buy this item because I'm sure you will manage this!

If you are having trouble priming/suction READ THIS to help you out!
1st off i'll explain my situation in needing to use this suction hose!.My car is away from my house so i have to use a VERY LONG extension lead to power my Karcher K4 pressure washer and i cant really use a hose connected to my outside tap because of the length!. Hence the reason for buying this suction hose, so i can use a bucket or BIG jerry can bottle(yet to buy!).Anyway after getting this item through the post i have had a absolute nightmare trying to get this hose to work. I have read that just put the filter end in the water and it will suck it up, IT WILL NOT do that!, i have tried!!!!. I then "primed" the hose full of water, but yet again it WILL NOT suck any water through the pipe. Even just letting run for a minute as others have said still does not do anything. In fact earlier on trying to do this my pressure washer got so hot it shut down and wouldn't start for a good 10 minutes(the machine is water cooled!).This is what i figured out that works 100% every time i do it!. The main reason this WILL NOT prime properly is the filter on the end is restricting the flow of the water!. IMO to start off the machine needs maximum water flow to enter the pump to then build up pressure which in turn starts the "sucking" process!.What i do is....................1. Take off the filter on the end of the hose(give a small twist and it comes of easy)2. Place all the hose in the water to prime it as normal3. Wait for the hose to fill with water, as seen by the air bubbles escaping(Because the filter is off, the water flow in the hose is A LOT better)4. When done connect to the machine5. Turn on and press the trigger on the gun6. Again because the filter is off you will see the water being sucked into the machine faster and it will build up pressure7. Reattach the filter and you are good to go!I tried this 5 times in a row and EVERY time it worked for me 100%If you plan to use this method in a water butt i would suggest priming the hose in a bucket of clean water first, then after you reattach the filter you can then put it in the water butt. I think once the machine has sucked water and built up pressure you should be able to move the hose into another water source!Anyway there you go. I've gone from hating it, to loving it, once i sussed it out lol5 STARSEDIT, 20/01/2019 - Used the suction hose for the 1st time cleaning the car with the aid of a 30L plasterers bucket i got from B&Q and it worked like a charm!. In all i filled up the bucket 3 times(1 for doing the snow foam, 2nd for rinsing the snow foam off, then the 3rd for rinsing the car shampoo off). Just make sure the water doesn't run out of the hose before re-filling your bucket as you will have to prime it again!
