Love it!
I wasn’t sure how I would like this frame since I’m used to one with nails to really grip the cloth. Let me tell you, I loved it! The latching mechanisms take a little getting used to, but you can make it very tight with them, and I love that the frame is adjustable so you don’t have to waste cloth or do larger projects just to fill the frame!

A step up - lots to like!
I started tufting about 10 weeks ago. I am retired, so that means I can spend a lot of time and too much money on things that I find satisfying. I am outgrowing my first frame, but not yet skilled enough for the really big frame that I already have. This is perfect in lots of ways:1. I had no trouble putting it together without help.2. It’s really light, so I can easily move it.3. It’s exactly the right width for my supply of cloth. I had a lot of wastage with the smaller frame.4. The fabric is TIGHT when stretched. You can see in the pic how I wrapped it around the sides before attaching it. It took more time than with carpet tack strips, so it is so worth it. No tearing no matter how tight you go.5. It comes with way more fasteners than you could use at one time and that’s great insurance for when the dog snatches one.6. The height is adjustable, the width is not. Too bad, that would be extra wonderful.7. It comes with everything you need, but I wished I hadn’t lost my socket wrench.8. No little spikes to avoid or to tear your fabric.9. The price seems fair, based on quality, great design and comparison to other frames you can buy.Improvements on my wishlist:1. Include more pieces for flexibility in dimensions. Like a great big Lego set.2. Include an extra cross beam for the base. That’s about it. I will probably use this one instead of my smaller one.

Bent when it arrived, spikes are plastic inserted one at a time.
Aluminum ends are sharp. Coverings are included, gloves to help put things together. Tool to tighten and adjust sockets. Already finished with my first rug. Spikes are plastic, time will tell how long those last. Place your foot down to hold it in place. Than tuft away. My issue now is how do I get my yarn to feed into the gun. The yarn holder on the ground is cool and holds two balls. But getting the right angle for it to feed is difficult. I spent time unraveling it first than tuft. So for this to earn a extra star. Maybe look for one that can angle the yarn above instead of the ground holders. I'm thinking maybe using toilet paper rolls to help it spin. Otherwise it's a good purchase for me.

Amazing
I purchase this gift for my daughter. The product was easy to assemble and she absolutely loves it. This is an upgrade from her previous tuft kit. I highly recommend!

Poorly made definitely not worth the money!!!
This frame has not been ideal to say the least the screw system is terrible, it does NOT keep your monks cloth tight no matter how many you put in. Several fly out as you tufting and the cloth is NEVER tight. The screws wind up ripping your fabric and if you don’t have a good grip or hand strength you will not be able to get them in the groove. I ended up using pliers to put them in while I was trying to stretch it. Terrible design! And no matter how tight you put the screws in the joints of the metal it still comes loose so with the pressure of my tufting gun, the whole frame squeaks back and forth and doesn’t have much sturdiness. I will probably have to add two more braces on the back of the legs for stability and I’m going to try putting a tack strip in the grooves so I won’t have to use the PLASTIC screws and pliers. So unless you are prepared to do major modifying on this frame or have great hand strength don’t waste your money on it. It costs less than 65 dollars to make a custom size frame at Lowe’s by the way.

Inaccurate Description.
I ordered the 53 inch but if you look carefully that is really the height of the side rails. In reality the tallest you can make it is about 42” inches give or take an inch. It’s ok so far but don’t rely on the dimensions in the description. I would recommend putting some kind of weight to hold it down on the floor. Like photograph sand or water bags. Or clam down to a table.

No hardware specifications??? Really??
Great for a little while. The constant vibration from your tufting gun will cause the bolts to loosen over time, and they may fall out in the middle of a project. Seller doesn’t provide hardware specifications so have fun trying to replace missing T-bolts if you end up losing one. Such a silly thing to not include in the product description.
