We haven't had it very long, but my son is loving it!!! I wanted to hurry up and write a review now to help out OTHER buyers. To switch the volume settings, hold the power button for one breath of light (the circle around the power button will dim down then back up, that's a breath). The manual says this. What it did not specify is that you must do this when the saber is off..... So the volume setting can be done prior to turning it on, not after. You're welcome!!!

This lightsaber is fantastic! It has all the features that make it exciting for kids. The sounds it makes when you swing it really add to the experience, and the best part is that it changes color depending on how you adjust it. We used these for a recent May the 4th event and they worked really well. The sound effects were not consistent, but when they worked, they worked well. We love the ability to change the colors and to mute the sounds.We haven’t tried to connect them to make a two-bladed saber, but it looks pretty straightforward.The instructions are clear

I purchased 3 different types of light sabers (the other 2 being cheaper), and these are definitely better quality than the others. After a lot of dueling, the others are breaking and falling apart, and these are still going strong. The sound is still amazing as well, and they hold together really well when connected. I don't like that I need to disconnect the handle to be able to charge it, but then... it does protect the charging port as well so - pros and cons. Also, having a single button to alter all the settings means that the kids mess up the settings a lot on accident, but I've got it down, and they're learning. It just takes a bit of time to learn all it can do.

MeAnd my autistic son beat the hell out of each other with these at least once a week. They are great for the price. And I will buy more once these break. I'm pretty sure it's been a year since I bought them.. the only downside is how long it takes the charge them. But who cares do it overnight

So much freaking fun! The light is very bright ,and you can change it to a ton of colors .the blade is strong enough to duel with ...my kids knock the crap out of them and they have held up great .I like them so much ,I give them for Christmas ect .I love that they recharge so no more buying batteries!

Funcionan y suenan bastante bien, ademas tiene muy buena resistencia y si aguanta golpes bastantes fuertes, los golpeo contra la pared y resistio el golpe y no provoco ninguna falla.Aunque le doy 3 estrellas porque este solo sirvio durante 7 meses porque despues de esto les dejo a ambos de funcionar porque a los 2 se le dañaron las pilas recargables que tenian y uno le dejo de servir el puerto de carga, aunque era algo de esperar por el precio que valen.

what you see is what you get. They should stand up to some rough play and the recessed buttons keep them out of the way when you're swinging them around.
