Newpowa 10A PWM Solar Charge Controller 12V/24V Compact Design LCD Display Off Grid Solar Panel Adjustablefor AGM, Gel, Flooded and Lithium Battery

I'm using this on a DIY 120AH lithium battery box. I needed a controller that would fit in a limited space and this unit worked perfectly both in size and operating parameters. Most of the time it's connected to a 160W vehicle rooftop panel, but I also charge it with a 320W solar suitcase with ~42v/10amp output, so it's a perfect match for this controller. I've been using this for almost a year and I am very pleased.

Yes, this device does work and delivers. But trying to understand the instructions was a bit of a challenge hence the four star rating. The Newpowa website does have the PDF file in which anyone can download since the booklet is small and not easy to read.

I didn't use it, I returned it because I was building a 48 volt system and didn't catch this would not work for 48 v.I am using Newpowa solar panels, the 12 v 210 watt units, and with a potential of 1680 watts full sun for 8, I got 1655 watts to the charge controller, near perfect even thru 80 feet of cable.

Not what I would expect from Newpowa. I tested it with an inexpensive PWM controller that I have used for several months. Same sun, same batteries, same usage, same wiring. The Newpowa should have charged the batteries by midday, in fact the batteries never charged up. After three days, I replaced the Newpowa with my old charge controller and the batteries were charged by midday just as I expected. I don't know what is going on with these but I think they are JUNK! Anyone want one for free???

Upgraded to this 150v unit from the 100v tracer 4210AN. Should've went with the 150v to start with. It's working good.. I'm happy with it.. 😁note; page 10 of tracer4215BN manual states "when PV modules are connected in series, the open circuit voltage of PV array must Not exceed 138v (25°c). 150v @ min temp.

Works as described.

I bought another generic controller and it works much better, gets me to 14.4v on my LIFEPO4.

Scans thru all criteria but speed is just slightly too fast for my eyes to focus. Does it's thing and tracks with mppt variations. Love the big wire gauge terminals at the bottom which sold me. Display could be back lite for less eye strain. Well constructed and attractive package container.
